"O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him." (Psalm 34:9)
When you fear God there is no need to fear man. God is the protector of your soul.
"Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him." (Psalm 33:8)
We must fear the Lord because we love Him, respect Him and desire to please Him. He loves us so much that He will allow us to share eternal glory with Him in heaven someday if we persevere unto the end, walking rightly in His ways. God is a just God who will also judge each one of us and if we have not lived a life holy and pleasing to Him, if we have not placed Him upon the throne of our hearts, then He has the power and authority to send us to eternity in hell- the lake of fire.
That is why God must be feared and revered because He has complete power over life and death. He is in control, not us. Thus when we fear Him we love Him by giving ourselves to Him and striving to live as He did.
The God who is faithful and the God who is love is also the God who is just.
The Lord helps you when you struggle physically, emotionally, spiritually, and mentally if you are living according to His law and call upon Him for help.
"Plead my cause, O Lord, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me. Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help." (Psalm 35:1+2
"Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy...our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield." (Psalm 33: 18+20)
"The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgements of the Lord are true and righteous altogether." (Psalm 19:9
Don't underestimate the power of God. He is immutable. He is the same God He was in Noah's day when he destroyed nearly the entire world population because of its sin and rebellion towards God, the Creator. Same as with Sodom and Gomorrah. God does not tolerate people who rebel against Him and polute and ignore His most Holy Word! He will always judge a people for their rebellion and sins.
I challenge you to walk in His ways, leaning on Him fully, working in His strength, fleeing from wordly things and pursuing the things of God. He loves us more than anything. If there would have been only one sinner on the entire earth when He came to die on the cross to bare the sins of the world, He still would have come for that one soul. He came for you. He came for me. So great is His love!
We certainly cannot deny His love. The least we can do is give Him our lives, just as He gave us His. Live for Jesus. Serve Him. Hold nothing back and He will be there for you!
