The Faithfulness of God

A definition of God's faithfulness: absolute reliability, firm constancy, and complete freedom from arbitrariness or fickleness.

Faithfulness is an essential element of God's character. We can depend on Him; leaning on Him fully. Life has it's monotonous routine and tends to drag on and on, but this can be changed into an exciting adventure with God's faithful plan and purpose! God's faithfulness can heal the wounds caused by the fickleness of friends. Although people often fail you, Jesus never will.

When you learn of God's faithfulness you will more fully understand why He requires faithfulness of you too. Your faithfulness is needed to introduce an unfaithful world to a faithful God. Your stability and confidence should shine as a light in a dark place.

If you really learn God's faithfulness, if you accept it with your heart and your head, His Word will be like a handbook to you. You will start to count on Him and on His love for you and also on His provision for all your needs. You must let Him make you faithful to Him.

All of these benefits and more are yours if you allow the God who is faithful to teach you.

God constantly is caring for His people, looking out for them and preparing the way.

...Two Testimonies of God's Faithfulness Made Manifest in My Life...

I had an outstanding kindergarten teacher. She not only taught me how to tie my shoes and sing my ABC's, she taught me how to pray to Jesus and memorize Scripture. She laid a great foundation and my life has been built on much of it. Each day my seven classmates and I would sit on the floor in a circle and pray earnestly for my father to stop smoking. I so bad wanted him to quit. Faithfully we prayed. One afternoon Dad became sick and completly lost his desire to smoke! I still praise God for this. At such a young age He showed me that He hears my prayers and cares about me. We also prayed for my girlfriend Jessica's dad who smoked too. In third grade he also lost his desire to smoke!

A teacher whom I liked a lot, Mrs. Igielski, was never my teacher in school, but was like a teacher to me. She would give me a hug or say something encouraging to me each day. After I left Christian Life Center I didn't see her for months (now it has been years). One night I had a sudden urge to write her. I just started writing whatever words came to mind and enclosed a few Scriptures verses in the letter too. I sent it a week or so later and a few days after that I received a response from her. She told me she was struggling with teaching and finding a new job. When she came home she received my letter in the mail, opened it and the verses were exactly what she needed to hear. I can't remember which ones I did send her but they had a common theme. They were on casting your cares on the Father because He cares for you and how you need to lean on the Lord fully and He will help you. It felt really awesome knowing that the Lord used me to help someone else. It was more evidence that the Lord looks out for me.

I have so many little stories of things God has done for my family and me. He is with us every step of the way. He is with you every step of the way too. The Lord IS faithful. He promises many times over in the Bible that He will never leave us nor forsake us. (Deuteronomy 31:6, Joshua 1:5, Hebrews 13:5) If you have an open relationship with the Lord He is open to you. When we have Jesus, He is all we need.

"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint." - Isaiah 40:31
