TONY DORSETT (1978 Topps #315)

Corners and edges: Slight wear is visible on all four corners of the card with a small amount of layering on upper right hand corner. Edges are very smooth with only a couple of minor nicks visible to the naked eye. The wear and layering mentioned though probably cost this card two grades. Centering: Left-right centering is nearly 50-50, but the top-bottom centering is roughly 30-70. Other: Back of card shows wear of a similar nature as front, but neither side shows color degradation. Between corners, edges, and centering I would guess this to be in the vicinity of a high six or low seven grade.

JOHN ELWAY (1984 Topps #63)

Centering: Left-right centering is about 60-40, top-bottom centering is nearly perfect. The flaw of note here is that the picture appears to be ever so slightly crooked to the naked eye. Without getting out my protractor, I would say that it is turned about one degree counterclockwise. Corners: One perfect corner, one slightly touched corner, and two corners that have a little more than a touch. Edges: The card's biggest problem lies here. A couple very slight chips are evident, but there is a crimp about a centimeter long on the bottom right hand edge of the card. Back: A very faint wax stain exists, otherwise no significant flaws. Other: Corners and edges would put this card at about a high six, low seven. The crimp and wax stain knock at least one grade and centering problems would leave this card as about a 5.8-6.2 overall.
