    Amazing-Top I [Amazing-Man I/Human Top I] First Appearance -- Red Hawk Comics #1

    --Bruce Everett trained through high school to enter the 1936 Berlin Olympics, where he would win a gold medal. Despite gaining international acclaim, Everett was unable to find good work upon his return to the U.S. and eventually wound up as a janitor at a laboratory owned by Dr. Terry Curtis. The Ultra-Evolutionary kidnapped Everett, and subjected him to a series of experiments when he's accidentally dosed with lightning, granting the ability to spin like a top when he crosses his wrists. Ultra-Evolutionary dubbed him Amazing-Top and threatened to kill his parents if he did not pledge servitude. Amazing-Top played along with the Ultra- Evolutionary until the opportunity to break free presented itself. He teamed up with the All-Star Winner Squadron to defeat Ultra-Evolutionary, and would later be invited to join the team.

    Amazing Top II [Amazing Man / Human Top] - created by Mikel Midnight for All-Star MUSH; noncanonical

    -- Description: A young black man garbed in a costume consisting of a black-and-green striped short-sleeved bodysuit, headband, and boots, as well as a yellow belt and 'T' on his chest. You can tell he is in excellent condition and all his movement are smooth and flowing as an athlete's. He appears to have a little bit of a chip on his shoulder which may never come off and has a very determined look in his eye.
    -- Dave Everett's (Amazing Top's) grandson, Darren Everett, inherited his forefather's ability to spin at tremendous speeds. Taking the name Spinman, Darren originally attempted to step out of his grandfather's shadow by joining the Judgment League Avengers. But Darren felt out of place among Earth's mightiest heroes and eventually went back to his grandfather's allies on the Victory-Battalion. - created by Omegabeast

    Americommando & Rusty [Mr. America / Defender & Rusty] First Appearence--USA Action Comics #1

    -- Don Thomson, a cowboy, strikes it rich in the oil fields of Texas and then leaves it. He has a wide range of exploring adventures until he is asked to watch over a shipment of food on its way to Europe. The liner is sabotaged and sunk, and Tex is the only survivor. He returns to America and begins fighting crime in "Center City" as the patriotic costumed, whip-wielding "Mr. Defender." Later still he goes to fight the Germans in Europe as the Americommando. He is teamed with Rusty Daley. Don has no powers but is good in a fight - written by Ultro
    -- Description: A tall, majestic man dressed in a glistening uniform of a tight red shirt with thirteen white stars arranged in a circle on his chest and skin-hugging red and white striped tights. He wears brown leather buccaneer boots. Covering the upper half of his head with a red mask, a grin is on the blond giant's handsome face.     -- Description: A muscular woman with a golden bird-head shaped helmet on her head with a yellow shirt w/ blue sleeves and stripes on the sides, and the insignia of wings on the chest. She wears golden wristbands and belt, red trunks with blue stripes on the sides, blue pants & red boots. Reddish-grey wings are on her back.


    Apollo I [Ray I / Corsair] First Appearance--Smash Premiere #14

    -- During World War II, Major Christopher Summers of the United States Air Force was piloting an experimental aircraft capable of flying at extremely high altitudes. While flying the aircraft in the upper stratosphere, Summers was exposed to massive amounts of solar radiation that endowed him with super powers. With the ability to fly and transform himself into pure solar energy, Summers adopted the name Apollo and began fighting alongside heroic teams such as the Freedom Crusaders [Freedom Fighters / Crusaders]. Summers also found that the solar energy had the affect of extending his longevity. Summers continued his super heroic activities long after World War II ended and even after marrying Nadine Summers [Nadine Terrill / Katherine Summers]. With Nadine, Summers sired two children, Ray and Joshua, who, as a result of their fatherÕs altered genetic structure, were both born metamutants.
    -- Christopher SummersÕ life took a tragic turn, however, when his longtime enemy Eric the Blue [Captain Blue / Eric the Red] was revealed to be an agent of the powerful intergalactic ShiÕkarran Empire. Vengeful ShiÕkarran soldiers under Eric the BlueÕs command descended upon Earth and killed Nadine. Placing Ray and Joshua in an orphanage for their own safety, Christopher Summers left Earth and vowed to bring down the ShiÕkarran Empire. Although he has not been heard from since, it is rumored that he joined forces with the rebel freedom fighters known as the JAMMERS [L.E.G.I.O.N. / Starjammers]. His connection to JAMMERS member Adam "Corsair" MacHudson [Adam Strange, Dr. Mist / Hudson MacDonald, Corsair], if any, is unknown.     Black Tarantula [Tarantula / Black Widow I] First Appearance -- Star-Spangled Marvel Comics #1

    -- Johnathan Voyant is concerned about the threat of not only crime but of Nazism and dedcides to become a superhero to help sniff out saboteurs. It wasn't a decision casually reached: he's been conducting research for a novel about sperheroes, but is murdered instead. He goes straight to Hell, where Satan appoints him as his assisant. Endowing him, literally, with the touch of death he sends Jonathan back to earth. Back on earth, he creates vacuum disks and webgun which become his singular tools. His mission on Earth: to find criminals and kill them, so that Hell will have them all the sooner. - created by Ultro

    Boy Allies [Boy Commandos/Young Allies] First Appearance -- Sleuth Comics # 64

    -- Originally four young orphans who were the mascots of an American Army unit stationed in Great Britain during World War II, the Boy Allies soon proved themselves the equal to the Howling Commandos [Company E-Z/Howling Commandos] and other fighting units, undertaking special missions behind lines until the wars end in 1945.
    -- Under the guardianship and leadership of Captain Rip Sawyer [Captain Rip Carter/Captain(Gen.)Sam Sawyer], the members of the Boy Allies included the handsome young Frenchman Percival Chavard [Andre Chavard/Knuckles]; the heavyset young Englishman Alfy "Tubby" Tinkles [Alfy Twidgett/Henry "Tubby" Tinkles]; the soft spoken young Dutchman Jan Jones [Jan Haasan/Whitewash Jones]; and the tough-talking, hardboiled young American known as "Brooklyn" Barnes [Brooklyn/Bucky]. After the war Jan, Alfy, and Percival were replaced by "Toro" Tex [Tex/Toro] and Jeff Clearweather [Percy Clearweather/Jeff Sandervilt]. Against such foes as Agent Axis [Agent Axis/Agent Axis] and the Green Skull [Lex Luthor/Red Skull], the Boy Allies left their mark in the annals of adventuredom. - created by Ultro

    Captain Magno [Magno / Captain Dash] First Appearance -- Smash Comedy #9

    -- After being fed "10,000 DC volts" and then "shocked back to life by an equal amount of AC volts" Tom Dash becomes a super hero in the thirty-first century. Whenever there is trouble in the sky, Captain Magno uses his hands like two very strong magnets: by activating his magnetic abilities, he can draw bullets towards his hands; by turning up the juice, he catch and melt them. Moreover, when he slugs someone, they receive not only five knuckles but a potent electric shock. Whenever his internal battery runs dry, Tom can revitalize himself by sticking his finger in a convenient lightsocket or outlet, or by holding onto exposed wires. He was killed during a time trip to the 1940s by the Japanese. - created by Ultro

    Captain Wildfire [Wildfire / Captain Terror] First Appearance: USA Action # 2

    -- Carol Vance Kane, a wealthy playgirl, received her powers from the god of fire. She has control over flames.

    Citizen Terrific [Mr. Terrific I / Citizen V] - created for All-Star MUSH; noncanonical; additional history by Omegabeast

    -- Description: A well built man of medium stature wearing a red military-type aviator's uniform with black gauntlets and combat boots. His face is covered by a small eye mask. The words Fair Play are inscribed on his chest and he wears two air brushes in pistol holsters at his hips.
    -- As World War II came to a close, the demand for super heroes steadily declined. The populace no longer saw a need for groups such as the Young Commandos, the Judgement Society Invaders, and the Liberty Fighters. And with Super-Soldier missing in action and presumed dead, the All-Star Winners Squadron soon disbanded without someone to fill the leadership role. But the hero known as Citizen Terrific felt that there was still a valid need for a team of super-powered heroes to bring the escaped war criminals of World War II to justice. As a result, Terrific founded the Victory-Battalion, a team that traversed the globe in search of those war criminals crafty enough to avoid capture. The team operated until Citizen Terrific's untimely death. But years later, a new hero donned the mantle of Citizen Terrific and reformed the Victory-Battalion. Their mission remains the same, but the Victory-Battalion now focuses their attention on two men who have managed to elude them for decades . . . Nazi collaborator Lex Luthor and S.S. Colonel Baron Wolfgang von Strucker - the war criminals known today as the Green Skull and Baron Zero!

    The Crimson Maple Leaf [The Crimson Avenger / Major Maple Leaf] - created by Keiron for All-Star MUSH; noncanonical. First Appearance -- Sleuth Comics #20

    -- Description: The Crimson Maple Leaf stands before you defender of the Great White North and all things Canadian! He stands over six feet tall and wears a red Mountie's uniform. His true identity is concealed behind a red mask. On his head is a standard issue Mountie wide brimmed hat with a large red maple leaf embroidered. Over his uniform he wears a crimson red cape.

    Dakor the Invincible [Ibis the Invincible / Dakor the Magician] First Appearance -- Mystic Police #1

    -- Dakor is a magician and detective for hire. He is a powerful magician. Most of his powers come from the Ibistick, which can initial do almost anything but later becomes powerless against black magic. - created by Ultro

    Dynamic Manhunter [Manhunter/Dynamic Man] First Appearance: Mystic Police #1

    -- Rick Nelson donned a costume to investigate the murder of his police friend. He brings in the Condor [Buzzard/Vulture] for the murder. Unknown to him, he is conneted to the Kree Manhunter Senties [Manhunters/Kree Senties].

    Eternal Robot [Robotman / Eternal Brain] First Appearance -- Red Hawk Comics #1

    -- Professor Robert Carmody and his assistant Dr. Chuck Grayson are just completing an android body which will "keep alive human organs whose owner had died." But just then a group of "enemy agents" break into the lab and try to steal whatever's inside. Carmody tries to stop them and gets shot for his troubles. Carmody, as he dies, tells Grayson to put his brain into the robot body. Grayson does so, and Crane wakes up in the body of the android. He creates a human mask for himself and takes on a new identity, that of Paul Dennis. He tracks down his killers, gets back together with Joan Carter, his girlfriend, and then goes out to fight crime, with the help of his talking robot dog Robbie. Eternal Robot has superstrength, acute mechanical eyes, "microphonic ears," and is fueled by several hundred horsepower, although he can and does run down and need recharging. - created by Ultro

    Fat Defender [Fatman/Kid Defender] First Appearance -- U.S.A. Action Comics #1

    -- Private investigator Rusty Daley was a good friend of Don Thompson, who had been thought killed by a Nazi saboteur. When Thompson returned as Mr. Defender, Daley joined him in crime-fighting.     Description: A young teenage girl of Asian features, her identity concealed behind a gold-tinted visor. She is wearing a gold-colored short kimono, belted around her waist. Her legs are in white tights, with a green shell-like design on the inner thighs and green military-style stripes down the sides. She is also wearing wristbands with a matching green and gold shell-like design.

    "Headline" Bradley [Slam Bradley / Headline Hunter] First Appearance: Super-Soldier Action #5

    -- Jerry "Headline" Bradley is a two-fisted, fight-first think-later foreign correspondent and private eye for an unnamed Cleveland newspaper. In his opening story he is working in London (only for the past few months) and is known to many of the American politicians there. He is daring in pursuit of a story, of course, but is also willing to mix it up with German spies, out of patriotism as well as a willingness to get a good scoop. He works for the London Star and has a rival in reporter Will Morgan. - created by Ultro

    Hermes [Quicksilver / Mercury] First Appearance: Red Hawk #1

    -- Little was ever revealed about this "crimbusting speed demon" save that he was sent by Jupiter to stop Pluto. Hermes has the ability to fly and to run at speeds which could be "compared only by lightning." He is also impervious to bullets and other mortal weapons. He is now called Max Makkari [Max Mercury/Makkari]. He was also known as Whip Hurrince [Whip Whirlwind/Hurricane], and Major Lightning [Lightning/Major Mercury]. - created by Ultro

    Hour Father [Hourman / Father Time] First Appearance: Super-Soldier Action #6

    -- Larry Tyler, a humble worker at a chemical plant, invents Miraclo, a formula which gives him superstrength, speed, leaping ability, and invulnerability for one hour. He puts on a costume and uses his abilities to prove the innocence of his father, who has been wrongly convicted and faces the chair. Unfortunately, Larry is too late, and his father is executed. Naturally, Larry is more than a little peeved by this, and he swears and oath to "make time work against criminals instead of the innocent." So he dons a mask and a hood, and using his fists and a big scythe, fights crime and evil. - created by Ultro

    Human Bee [Red Bee / Human Fly] First Appearance: Human Bee #1

    -- After a car crash in North Carolina, Tom Darrow is alone, having lost his wife and children, and crippled. Told he'll never walk again, Tom only walks but whips himself into tiptop physical shape. But it wasn't enough to prevail over Baron Froederick Blitzkrueger [Baron Blitzkrieg/Freddy Krueger] during World War II. Stalling the villain while the All-Star Winner Squadron [All-Star Squadron/All-Winner Squad] to marshal their forces, the Human Bee suffered a broken back and died. - created by Ultro

    Human Thunderer [Human Bomb / Thunderer] First Appearence--Mystic Police #7

    -- While Roy Carstairs is assisting his father, a research chemist, in developing a super explosive for the government, enemy agents come to the laboratory to steal it. Roy's father is killed and, unable to hold off the intruders, the young man swallows the capsulized formula rather than see it stolen. Almost at once he begins to glow, he screams in horror and knocks out the agents with his explosive voice. Roy realized that the formula has changed so that anything that he yells at will blow up. Rather then risk innocent lives, he makes a protective microphone worn around his neck. When he wishes to draw on the formula's destructive powers, he merely turns off the microphone. His girlfriend is Sandra Grant, the Blonde Phantom Lady [Phantom Lady/Blonde Phantom]. - created by Ultro

    Invisible Hood [Invisible Hood/Invisible Man] First Appearance: Smash Premiere #1

    -- Not much is known about the Hood save that he can become invisible at will.     -- Dennis Lane is a "laughing clown feared by criminals and a striking force of a thunderbolt." Dennis is a rookie on the New York City police force. - created by Ultro

    Ka-Boom! [Ka-Zar I / Human Bomb] - proposed by Redfender for All-Star MUSH; noncanonical

    -- A jungle man who was captured and brought to the city. He used his knowledge of land mines that were put in his jungle during WWII to become an expert on bombs. Along with his tiger, he fights crime with an assortment of explosives.

    King Fin [King / Fin] First Appearance -- All American Daring Mystery #3

    -- After miraculously lives through a submarine accident, Lieutenant King Noble finds that he can breath under water. Setting himself up in a sub oceanic den he discovers a magic cutlass in an ancient wreak that can slice through metal and bestow the might of 20 men. A master of disguise, as well as an expert marksman and locksmith, King uses these talents to fight crime. When out of contact with water for three days King rapidly loses his strength. - created by Ultro

    Little Boy Blue Blaze [Little Boy Blue/Blue Blaze] First Appearance: Mystic Police #1

    -- Tommy Keen was an adolescent hero who decided to emulate Primal [Wildcat/Wolverine]. His allies are the Blue Victory Boys [Blue Boys/Victory Boys]. - created by Ultro

    Major Steel [Commander Steel / Major Liberty] First Appearance -- USA Action Comics #1

    -- Though he has only a year left to go at Princeton, with a great career ahead of him as a doctor, Hank Liberty joins the military in 1939 to stem the tide of Nazism. Stumbling upon German saboteurs attempting to dynamite the Camp Marshall (Long Island) Marine Base, he tackles them alone and is caught in the blast. His bones are shattered, a lung is lost from having breathed super-heated air, his heart is damaged, and he suffer third-degree burns. While lying there, the ghost of Paul Revere pays him a visit. When his awakens finds himself in a marine hospital, he pleads with his mentor and former teacher, biologist Gilbert Giles, to help him by using their "biological retardant" and rebuilding him with artificial material. Transferring Hank to a private institution in upstate New York, Giles repairs and strengthens the young man's damaged organs, uses steel alloy tubing to replace his bones, creates a metal casing for his skull, and inserts micro motors in all of his joints to help him move his steel limbs. After endless days of operations, Hank is remade. Able to lift half a ton without difficulty, he can also stay under water for a half hour, absorb a lot of punishment, run faster then a speeding car, and leap great distances. Paul Revere returns and promising Hank the help of himself and the ghost of other dead soldiers in his battle against saboteurs. - created by Ultro

    -- Pretending to be slightly flighty the young woman, Marla Gaynor donned her skintight outfit and uses a whip to prey on the enemies of America. Her connection to White Whip if any is unknown. - created by Ultro

    Lando Mantor the Master Magician [Lando/Mantor the Magician] First Appearance: Human Lantern Comics #2

    -- Lando, Master Magician, is a stage magician as well as the "greatest of magicians." He travels around both the US and abroad, his powers and his fez a warning and threat against all evildoers. - crated by Ultro

    Miss E [Miss X/Mister E] First Appearance: USA Action #47

    -- She dresses like the Green Shadow, but with a domino mask rather than a scarf. She's the wealthy sportswoman Victoria Jay, but apart from the usual athletic skills and ingenuity that all superheroes have, he has no special powers, but she got into crime-fighting to meet Americommando. Interestingly, though, in her one appearance she clashed with the Vampire, who is described as her "arch-enemy" and who, from the dialogue of the story, has had a number of skirmishes with Miss E. - created by Ultro

    Miss USA [USA / Miss Patriot]- First Appearance--All-American Marvel Mystery Comics #50

    -- The sidekick of the Super-Patriot, she was originally a USO volunteer and dancer in her civilian life. But she's a patriotic woman, and when danger threatens the USA or its citizens or soldiers, she puts on a costume and fights crime. She uses a flame-throwing "liberty torch" but has no superpowers. - created by Ultro

    Nadir the Mystic [Nadir, Master of Magic/Magar the Mystic] First Appearance: Red Hawk Comics #1

    -- Nadir is a powerful magician from ancient Egypt who can communicate with the dead and "recreate the great men and women of history. - created by Ultro

    Neon Girl [Neon the Unknown / Sun Girl] First Appearance: Neon Girl #1

    -- Neon Girl has the ability to fly on a spiral of light and fire bolts of "neontic power" form her hands. She was killed by the Japanese during WWII. She was an ally of Human Lantern [Green Lantern I/Human Torch I] and Dyna-Flame [Dyna-Mite/Toro, Tim]. - created by Ultro

    The Owl [Dr. Mid-nite I / the Falcon I] - proposed by Mikel Midnight for All-Star MUSH; noncanonical

    -- Charles Burgess, a brilliant young assistant District Attorney, was blinded in an attack on a government witness he was interviewing. On discovering that he actually had improved night vision, he developed infrared goggles, blackout bombs, and glider wings, wearing an old masquerade costume to conceal his identity as The Owl.

    Red Snapper [Red Guardian/Snapper Carr] First appearance: Smash Comedy #13

    -- Displaced into World War II by the merging, Snapper Carr decides to become a super-hero in his own right, utilizing a variety of weapons against crime. - created by Captain Gerry

    Red Torpedo Man [Torpedo Man/Red Torpedo] First Appearance -- Crack Flight Comics #1 (Your Quality Lampoon Publications)

    -- Don Lockhart retires from the U.S. Navy but can't stand the quiet of retirement, and so develops the Torpedo, a one-man submarine. He also has a costume, which gives him the ability to fly, and fights crime. With them he becomes the "Robin Hood of the deep," keeping the peace on the seven seas. Torpedo Man's headquarters were located beneath the base of the Statue of Liberty in New York harbor. The Torpedo is also armed with laser-like weapons in its stern.

    Roxy of the Jungle [Roxy Rocket/Zara of the Jungle. First appearance-- Mystic Police Comics #3

    -- Zara of the Jungle--marooned in the jungle when her parents are killed by a mercernary army, Zara Sutton becomes the protector of the jungle. - vreated by Captain Gerry

    Scarlet Blade [Mr. Scarlet/Blue Blade] First Appearance: USA Action #5

    -- Brian Butler dresses like a French musketeer and fights Japanese subversion on America's Pacific coast. Mr. Scarlet has the ability to fly, although no origin for this ability is ever given. He is assisted by his sidekick, the young boy Pinky. - created by Ultro

    The Shining Britain [Shining Knight / Union Jack II] - created by The Big Guy for All-Star MUSH; noncanonical

    -- Description: A tall man totally encased in a dark blue skintight costume, only his eyes visible. Over the costume he wears an Arthurian like tunic bearing the Union Jack on both the front and back. On a belt around his waist he wears a golden scabbard containing an ancient looking longsword. Strapped to his back he carries a canvas covered shield shaped object.

    Sand Scorpion & Sandy the Golden Girl [Sandman & Sandy / Silver Scorpion] - created by Keiron for All-Star MUSH; noncanonical; additional history by Omegabeast

    -- Description: A young woman in her mid-twenties. She cuts a fine figure in her sleeveless body-hugging yellow jumpsuit. A red bandanna with eyeslits covers the upper half of her face, blonde hair falls around her shoulders from beneath the bandanna. A red scarf wraps itself around her waist and is tied-off to one side, with a strange looking pistol tucked into it. Both the collar and shorts of her jumpsuit are purple. Above the left breast is a embroidered image of a scorpion.
    -- A former member of the All-Star Winners Squadron, the Golden Age heroine known as Sand Scorpion was known for her combination of athletic maneuvers and detective skills. Now a senior citizen, Elisabeth Dodds works primarily behind the scenes for the Victory-Battalion, using her first-hand knowledge of war criminals and deductive reasoning skills to aid her teammates on their various missions.

    -- He has been around for many years. He used to be a detective who would confront supernatural cases with his partner and lover Rose Ming. When Rose was killed, their souls joined in the same body and sort of switch off when appropriate. As Strange Occult, he uses the Eye of Agamotto to fire and repel magical blasts. He can also transfer the magical blasts through objects, such as guns, staffs, etc. As Rose, she has psychic abilities and martial-arts techniques. Both have a vast knowledge of the principles of the supernatural. They are eventually slain in battle against the demonic Khormannu, wherupon Nabu the Ancient One obtains the Eye of Agamotto and eventually passes it down to his scion Dr. Strangefate. - created by Wonka

    -- Description: Sunshade, the Phantom Beauty, is a startling attractive woman whose most unusual feature is her long hair which is blond on the left side of her head and black on the right. She is wearing a tight-fitting short skirted yellow dress with a plunging neckline, green tights and gloves, yellow boots and a green cape. On her wrists she has a pair of metallic bracelets. The one on the left is golden with a lens pointing forward over her hand. The one on the right is green, with a shiny black lens.

    -- In 1940 Uncle Sam, the spirit of liberty, decided to come to life now that America was threatened by the Axis power and by subversives such as the Black Legions. The spirit of Uncle Sam appeared to a Midwestern patriot named Samuel Nasland, who opposed the Black Legions. The spirit merged with Samuel, who became the True Believer and defeated the Legions and other enemies of freedom. True Believer possessed superhuman strength and a large measure of invulnerability.
    -- In 1941, while he was fighting a group of homegrown fascists called Steel Helmets, True Believer had a vision of Japanese zeroes bombing an American naval base. With the threat impending, True Believer recruited a number of costumed heroes as members of a team that would be known as the Freedom Crusaders. This first set of Freedom Crusaders engaged a group of Japanese zeroes over the Pacific Ocean on December 7, 1941. This team succeeded in preventing the first wave of Japanese attacks on Pearl Harbor, but True Believer's first incarnation of Freedom Crusaders were apparently all killed in their first foray (although it was later revealed Neon Girl and Captain Magno were the only ones to actually perish, although Miss Wonderly was comatose for many years). Only True Believer escaped relatively unscathed.
    -- Later, when the All Star Winners Squadron was under the mind control of the Green Skull, Sam recruited a new team with Johnny Quicksilver, Blue Atom, Johnny Frost & Winterbolt, Blonde Phantom Lady, Paper-Man, and Ensign Jack & Arrowcaster. Although they opted to base themselves in San Francisco to protect America's west coast while True Believer remained in the nation's capitol, this group fared much better than the previous one, and for a time, they .operated under the larger Judgment Society of Invaders organization. - created by Ultro

    -- Description: A tall man, in all red and orange cowboy garb. A red felt hat covers his head, while an orange bandanna covers his face. On both sides of his belt are holsters, both containing a pair of peculiar looking six-guns. Down the man's legs are a pair of bright orange leather chaps. On his feet are a pair of well-worn stained red boots. One more thing of interest about this man is that he seems to be completely on fire. Over his shoulder is a lariat that also seems to be on fire, but is unconsumed by the flames.
