1st Place Finish @ Bagley
With a brand new dance, new uniforms and a new name, the Blue Angels took the Varsity Jazz/Funk category of the Bagley invitational. Bemidji competed against ten other teams from the region including Mahnoman, Bagley, Pequot Lakes, Little Fork/Big Falls, Fertile/Beltrami, Hawly, and others. Bemidji recieved a score of 388 out of a possible 400. Second place went to Pequot Lakes with 352 pts and third to Bagley with 338. This win give the Blue Angels renewed confidence after a rough start and atough 2000 season.
New Name
The Bemidji Lumberjacks Dance Team is now the Bemidji Blue Angels Dance Team. The name comes from the Blue Angels in the Air Force. The Blue Angels fly as one and the Bemidji Blue Angels will dance as one.
