THE STORY

Just HOW did "beanie blankies" come about you ask? Here is my story ( and I'm stickin' to it)

I just started collecting beanies a few months ago, when McDonalds had their second teenie promotion.I must admit that when I started buying these (not to mention eating happy meals until I thought I was going to die), I was in it strictly for profit. I thought all of the beanie hysteria was pure craziness and wondered if those people had anything better to do with their lives than collecting "stuffed" animals.

Well,I don't know what the heck happened, but as the weeks wore on, I became addicted. Teenies turned into regular beanies and soon I was buying, selling and trading them NOT for profit, but for my newly recognized addiction and the pure FUN of it! I would stay up (still do sometimes) until the wee hours of the morning perusing all the beanie sites I could find.Does any of this sound familiar? I'm sure most if not ALL of you know exactly what I'm talking about.

So,now that I've rambled on...back to "why beanie blankies"

For some reason, we as adults (especially us ladies) like to put cute clothes on things. Our pets, our (collector) dolls, our children, and yes, even our beanies. I guess psychologically, this is allowing us to go back and relive the fun of our childhood playing with dolls, barbies and dress-up, without actually taking these things out of the attic and being carried off to the funny farm.

So one day, for some reason, I decided that my beanies would like to have a pillow and blanket. My friends and family (even my HUSBAND!) see these things and say "WOW! Those are REALLY cute! You should try to sell those." (I've sold other craft items in the past). So, thats the L-O-N-G story, and here they are. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
