The New Birth is a new creation from
above--the direct operation of the Word
of God and the Spirit of God upon your
life--changing your spirit completely
when you truly repent and turn to God.
This new creation is brought about in
the following manner:
* Recognize that you are a sinner,
lost, without God and without hope
* Admit that Jesus Christ died on
the cross to save you from sin by
His own precious blood.
* Come to God, turning away from
sin and confessing Jesus as your
Lord--and you shall be born again.
(The Holy Spirit will then make
you a new creature--a new creation-
-cleansing you from all sin by the
authority of the Word of God and by
the blood of Christ which was shed
to atone for your sin.)
* Believe from your heart and confess
with your mouth that God does forgive
you of your sins and that you are born
Here are some Scriptures which show you
what you have in your authority to believe
and to confess:
9 That if thou shalt confess with
thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt
believe in thine heart that God hath
raised him from the dead, thoughshalt
10 For with the heart man believeth unto
righteousness; and with the mouth confession
is made unto salvation.
12 But as many as received him, to
them gave he power to become thesons of
God, even to them that believe on his name;
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of
the will of the flesh, nor of the will of
man, but of God.
37 ...and him that cometh to me I
will in no wise cast out.
Oh, what a basis for faith! There is
no such thing as a person coming to Him
and being cast out! Jesus said, “...him
that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.”
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent
in the wilderness, even so must the Son of
man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in him should
not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave
his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in Him should not perish, but
have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world
to condemn the world; but that the world
through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned:
but he that believeth not is condemned already,
because he hath not believed in the name of the
only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light
is come into the world, and men loved darkness
rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the
light, neither cometh to the light, lest his
deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light,
that his deeds may be made manifest, that they
are wrought in God.
36 He that believeth on the Son hath
everlasting life: and he that believeth
not the Son shall not see life; but the
wrath of God abideth on him.
24 Verily, verily, I say unto you,
He that heareth my word, and believeth
on him that sent me, hath everlasting life,
and shall not come into condemnation; but
is passed from death unto life.
19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted,
that your sins may be blotted out, when the
times of refreshing shall come from the
presence of the Lord.
8 For by grace are ye saved through
faith; and that not of yourselves: It is
the gift of God;
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
