Our little girl
Melody Anne Klass
was born on Apirl 14th , 1991.
We had waited many years
for a child, and
Melody was our mircle child.

Mel brought happiness to our
family through the years.
She was a
fine little dancer.
Her dream was to one day become
a professional ballet dancer.
Melody danced
even before she could walk!
She spent hours
every day in a near by ballet studio.
We have to omit our
little girl had talent.

Last year around
Easter time our
little girl
started complaining
of head aches daily.
Her teacher noticed
that she no longer could
remember things like she use to.
Mel was always dizzy and
always slept.
Melody no longer
had the engery she once had.

After weeks of Mel
complaining of head aches,
we decided to take
her to the hospital.
Her doctor took a lot of tests, than
he said he expected the worst.
How could that be possible?
How could our little girl,
our mircle be sick??
That same day,
we were told Melody
had a brain tummor.

How do you
handle the fact of
being told your 7 year old girl
has a tummor that
is going to kill her?
We about fliped out.
Melody was checked
into the hospital that eveing.
She was put on Chemo right away.

Mel handled the Chemo real well..
the only thing that got
to her was that she could not dance..
Mel was very weak
from the chemo and radiation.
She could not walk...
She did not go to school.
Her friends would visit her daily.
They all brought her
flowers and letters.
Mel just wanted
to go back to her
normal life.

After about 6 months
of Chemo and Radiation,
the doctors released my angel..
They could find no trace
of her tummor left..
It was a mircle.. Mel's hair
quickly grow back and
she had gotten strong again..
She went back
to school, and made loads of
new friends.
She also went
back to the dancing she loved
..ever so much.

We thought the cancer

had left for good.
Everything was prefect.

March 19th, 1999...
our little girl ..
blacked out
at a school spelling bee.
A night mare was begaining.
Her cancer had come back.
The tummor
had not all been gone.
It had hiden
deep inside her brain,
and now had grown so big ..
the doctors could do very little.
Back on treatments our
little girl went.
More and more months of pain.
Mel's tummor did
not get smaller
no matter what the doctors did.
Around her 8th birthday,
Melody lost
her abillity to walk,
and talk.
She could do little on her own.
Mel was dying
and we all knew that.
The doctors gave her
a few months to live.
We made those few months
jammed packed with stuff.
We took trips everywhere.
Tired to do
everything Mel wanted to
do in her life.

Melody died on
Aug. 24th 1999.
She was 8 years old.
At the time she died, she had no use of
her legs, ears and could not talk.
Yet she always
got her message across.
Melody loved life,
and she made others
love it along with her.
Mel left a impact on so many.
Her school
donated $1000 in her name
to the American Cancer Socitey.
Melody will always
be in our hearts.

Melody's wish was to
help other childern to have full
happy lifes.
We are asking families
across the nation,
please donate
money to your local childerns hospital..
Please bring
hope to the childern of
the future.
