Quinlan and Piper were an Irish Duo that came from Washington DC in the 80's and moved up to New York City. they spent most of their time playing at Flanagans on First Ave. They also played on Bourban Street in LA, and the National Press Club in Washington DC, as well as Irelands Own, the 4 Provinces, and other Irish pubs around Washington and New York.

Vini Quinlan had come from Ireland with the popular 'Celtic Folk, an Irish folk group that had played to huge audiences. Jerry Piper was a local rocker who had never played Irish music, but had grown up playing American folk music. Together they complimented each others styles. Vini Quinlan's unique voice was recognized to be a great asset to the group. Aaron Piper, Jerry's son is pictured here.
At the end of the 80's Vini moved to Annapolis, MD and opened an Irish pub called 'Castle Bay'. Jerry remained in New York and continued to work on the irish scene with Dermot Henry, Ian Gallagher, Pado Noonan, and others.
