OASIS is... Social!
Opportunities for friendships abound with scheduled FUN DAYS that include roller-skating, bowling, swimming, holiday parties, picnics, park days and many others! Children and parents alike enjoy these casual times to exchange ideas, keep informed, and build relationships.
FIELD TRIPS organized by parents are highlights of the year and hands-on learning opportunities to remember. Airports, city hall, post office, fire department, orchestras, drama productions, apple orchard, and historical sites are but a few of the trips enjoyed.
OASIS is... Scholastic!
Parent-led CLASSES, usually offered in the Fall and Spring, allow friends to keep in contact while learning together. Physical Education, Spanish, Drama Productions, Public Speaking, and Science are but a few that have been offered. An opening assembly allows opportunities to practice public speaking while giving reports on fun topics ad favorite books, etc.
PRESENTATION DAY is a hightlight of the year when the young people present their musical accomplishments, topical studies, science experiments, and art projects for everyone to enjoy. Knowledge is tested as they explain their various projects to friendly judges who may offer pointers for next year's presentations.
OASIS is... Supportive!
Parents find the encouragement and support they need with MONTHLY PARENT MEETINGS. Topics vary from month to month and can include discussions on curriculum for each subject area, teaching different ages, and many more.
The MONTHLY NEWSLETTER allows for the exchange of information among members regarding upcoming events, trips, meetings, and helpful hints.
