BMXRSXTREME PAGE "Hey Babe"

Yo Yo Yo Wassup all? Welcome to my x-treme sports page! I'd have to say that Bmxin is da best cuz u have so many choices. You can dirt jump, Street, flatland, vert, or race. Bladin is cool too. Skateboarding isn't that bad. I dont see why everyone disses skaters. Most of em are cool guyz. Even though im not a skater (cuz i suck at skateboarding) i still have friends that are. If you are just starting out on Bmx and u like to jump. If you dont have a local dirt jump place i recomend building your own its best if u have some property to do it on though. WARNING: dont build on other peoples property. (without asking) and make sure its not city property where they will just tear em down. So its pretty hard to find a good place where they will stay for a while. And if u are one of the guys makin em(you dont want to do it by yourself) you have to be one of the guys to help maintain it and make sure it stays clean. Thats only if u care if they tear em down or not. Flatland tricks HOW TO's
Decade> Slowly roll forward with one foot on your prefered peg, and the other foot on the frame, where the top tube meets the seat post/tube. Apply the front brake and push weight forward, doing an endo, then rock on to the rear wheel, whilst applying the back break. Then push on the frame and try and spin around the bars, and back onto the bike. See the below movie. Caboose
With your prefered foot on your opposite peg, lift the bike on to its back wheel. You should feel the bike rise, use the brake to help you, and scuff the rear wheel. You should apply the break after each scuff, to prevent you from going to fast, and to help balance. Look at the picture below for help. In the picture Henning is not using the handlebars, or break. This is a cool caboose. I recommend you use the same stance, except you apply the break. Tip, most people reverse there brakes, to aid the caboose. Street tricks
When doing street you need two basic tricks, which is why street is so cool. The bunny-hop, and the manual. After you have mastered both tricks, you can do a lot of stuff. Bunny-hop
When starting out bunny hops, you should always go slow. Some people find it hard to describe to others how they hop. Simply saying you just jump. There are techniques most use. TIP- Get a set of grip which you feel comfortable with. TIP- Have your bars at a suitable width, and slighly facing towards you. Lift your front wheel to an adecate height, then move weight off your rear wheel, by jump off then pedals, whilst lifting the front with your arms. Simple? Manual
Manuals are hard, especially when you can't bunny-hop. They take a lot of control, but feel great when you get one right. Its like a wheelie, except you don't pedal. So, ride at a reasonable pace. Lift your front wheel, and keep two fingers on the rear break, so if you feel you are going to fall back apply the break and lean a little forward. You do see some ridings using there legs to balance. This is useful. TIP- Keep you bum just over the saddle, and your arms straight. Practise is the key. Feeble Grind To Feeble Grind you have to side hop,but lift the front wheel higher so your front wheel lands on the place that you are grinding as well as your back peg. As you approach it make sure you are confident and have enough speed. Stick to these and you'll be grinding like a pro! Dirt Tricks
X-up
> Ride at the jump, so you get a fare amount of air time. When in the air, put your legs nicely far back, I find place them into the saddle helps. Then bring the bars around so you arms form the shape of an X. Ramp Tricks
Peg stalls
When on the ramp it can me a useful trick to do when wanting to slow yourself before doing a harder trick, it also helps your confidence a great deal when trying other lip tricks. What I find useful is always try to go a lot slower than you might think is possible, this makes you hop a great deal more. Most times when you go fast you hit the coping way too hard. It works against you so much. When you get to a good speed or what you think is good ride up to the coping or top of the transition, (the piece of shining tubing on the top) arch you line, then hop up and lean into the ramp. If you hook up with the coping hold the stall, and then hop back in by doing a tiny bunny hop and leaning you front wheel into the ramp. It feel cool to pull it off for the first time like most other tricks. Alley oop grinds
These are a bit harder as you are riding up the transition the wrong way, then 180'ing onto the coping and then sliding the wrong way around. If you can 50/50 grind normally they will be easy. Its one of those tricks that looks quite impressive but is easy at the same time. When you arch the opposite to normal you should lean the opposite way also, and then with any luck you will slide as well, if you try this smith remember to pedal backwards.
