Unreleased Horses

Mini Whinnies promo photos are taken to get an idea of what a playset or series may look like before production even begins. This is when changes take place and sometimes some horses are taken out or changed after all the promo photos are shot. Here are some horses that as of yet, have not been sold so they are promo horses only.

Black loping Appaloosa stallion was replaced with a blue roan mare in the 2006 Appaloosa series set

“Use these pictures to help you paint your Mini Whinnies”
Chestnut Morgan stallion, red roan draft foal, bay pinto stallion and black appaloosa draft stallion were all used as a guide for the unpainted Mini Whinnies that came with paint kits I and II. Hopefully they will be released as part of the series because they are stunning.

Dappled gray Morgan stallion and bay drafter were also used as a painting idea demonstration in paint kits I and II.

Yet another draft stallion, but in dark bay, was used as a painting guide in paint kits I and II.

Bay leaping stallion was later swapped out for a chestnut pinto leaping stallion in the Circus City playset.

These magical horses were to inspire your imagination in the Fantasy painting kit set.
Purple trotting mare, pink foal, blue pinto mare, yellow appaloosa foal and orange stallion were never sold.

Mini Whinnies coloring and activity book.
Cute book features all your favorite horses along with crayons to color them any color you would like. Book was featured in the 2008 catalog with a “Coming Soon” next to it but it is yet to be released. Item #4122.

This galloping black stallion was later switched out for a trotting stallion in A Day At The Races playset.

These magical fairy horses are for promo only.
They were changed into running stallions in the same colors in the Wind Dancers musical jewelry box set.
