Update - February 27, 2007 I guess I have gotten quite behind on updating Joey's site. Needless to say, we are still living with my mother. But wonderful things have been happening! Nick and I attended EMT-Basic classes last year. It was a rough class, but well worth it. We had to put in 140 hours of clinicals between running with Lapeer County EMS and working at the Lapeer Regional Hospital Emergency Room. In June 2006, we took and PASSED our National Registry exams and in October of 2006, I received my EMT-B license from the state of Michigan. After the grueling tasks of the past three years (MFR classes, Fire School, and EMT class), I decided that I needed a bit of a break before heading into the next aspect of my goal. My one year is almost up, and I am now signing up to begin classes for RN in May 2007. I will be going to college full time until receiving my LPN license and then I will be working full time and going to school part time to finish my RN. Things are moving right along! At first I was a bit worried about being able to attend college as Ryan is in a different school. I didn't think that I would have anyone who was able to get him off of the bus in the afternoons, but just a couple of weeks ago, the school announced that they were shutting down Ryan's school one year early, meaning next year he will be back in town for 2nd grade. There for, Ryan and William will be able to take the bus over to their Aunt's house if need be. The Lord sure does work in mysterious ways!! We hope that this update finds you all doing very well, and thank you for stopping by! |
