The Adopt-a Highway Program

The Waterfront Environmental Committee has adopted one of the toughest parts of the city. The entrance and exit ramps to/from I94 Expressway at Nine, Ten and Eleven Mile Roads.

Water Pollution does not start at the water's edge. It starts inland, sometimes far inland. Everything that goes into the storm drains end up in Lake St. Clair. This program is an effort to stop non-point water pollution that comes from our roads and highways.
