In 1267, there was a tailor called Moisy or Moyse that held land in Brechin, Forforshire, Scotland.

Robert Moyes and Helen Morris were married December 14, 1777, in Aberdour, Fifeshire, Scotland. This seems to be the parents of Helen, but more research is needed.
Robert (above?) was christened September 20, 1754 in Aberdour, Fifeshire, Scotland. His parents were: James Moyes and Anna Adamson. A James Moyes was christened on October 16, 1763 in Kinghorn, Fifeshire, Scotland.
