Elspeth was the 5th born of Thomas Wilson and his second wife, Margaret McFarlane.
Andrew McFarlane was a laborer/stonemason (as was his father-in-law). Andrew MacFarlane was born in 1818. He married Jane Anderson (b. 1817) on June 21, 1839. Jane died January 25, 1899, in Newhouse, Avonbridge, Muiravonside, Stirling, Scotland (at age 82). Andrew died Sunday, November 4, 1900 in Newhouse, Avonbridge, Muiravonside, Stirling, Scotland (at age 82). Their children were:
Thomas Paterson may have been born in England - his sister Jean Paterson was born there in 1836 - but I can find no birth record for Thomas. He was the son of John Paterson, a limestone quarryman, born in

William McFarlane and his wife Jean Gray had a daughter, named Marion McFarlane, who was born on March 6, 1825, in Kilsyth, Stirling County, Scotland.
