Timeline of Augustus II's Kingship:
- 1695-1696 - he was the commander of the Austrian/Saxon faction against the Turks
- 1697 - Augustus inherited the throne of Saxony
- June 27, 1697 - Augustus was elected king of Poland, by the minor nobility with the backing of Austria and Russia.
- September 15, 1697 - Augustus II was crowned King of Poland.
- 1699 - Treaty of Karlowicz
- 1703 - Augustus II won the support of the Sejm.
- February 16, 1704 - the unification of the Warsaw confederation dethrones Augustus II of Poland.
- Stanislas Leszczynski is elected King of Poland.
- September 24, 1706 - August II abdicates, but still has a taste for the throne.
- 1709 - after the battle of Poltawa, Augustus is summoned before the Sandomierz Federation to offer him the return of his throne, on the basis that he is a protege of Czar Peter I.
- November 20, 1709 - Augustus is secured a covenant treaty
- 1715 - Tamograd confederation is mediating with Russia and they are brought before the Sejm in 1717.
- 1722 - began work on Zwinger Palace.
- 1733 - August II died of gangrene poisoning.
- At the end of his reign, Augustus II proposes the division of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth-which is spread to all the great houses of Europe.
- Augustus left behind a large number of natural progeny (illegitimate) all of whom played a role in many socities and public offices.
