[[northville high school interact club]]
we are
about service.
through various volunteer work in southeastern michigan, interact
club aims to reach out and make a difference. although the
meetings we have at school are very short (twenty minutes), we offer
approximately six to eight events per month that members can attend as
it fits within their schedule.
in the past, we have volunteered at several nursing homes, soup kitchens, food banks, libraries, as well as helping out with our very own school district. we have also held drives to collect school supplies for underprivileged children in detroit. additionally, our club holds fundraisers in the form of a track and field race (may) to raise money for the four children we sponsor through save the children and a dance dance revolution tournament (january) for the children's hunger fund. at the beginning of each school year, we donate our funds to a different charity. this year, we gave $1,000 to kids for afghan kids.

OF FUNDRAISING plans the DDR tournament & Heart N Sole (follow the timeline), LARGE communication role TREASURER keeps track of assets - members & money SECRETARY agendas, minutes and sign-up sheets EVENT COORDINATOR finds 3-4 events/month PUBLICITY fliers, posters, announcements, and purchases (will be reimbursed)
