MID-MICHIGAN BMW TOURING CLUB

The Mid Mich BMW Touring Club #53 was founded in 1973 and chartered with
BMW Motorcycle Owners of America (BMWMOA) in 1974. The Mid Mich BMW Touring Club is a
Club that has diversified itself to serve the needs of the Membership. The Club is
the only Chartered BMW Club listed with the United Sidecar Association as a
Sidecar organization. The Club accepts members who ride all makes of bikes. All the club asks, that you be a
Motorcyclist first and enjoy riding. The heart of the Club is still the dedicated BMW rider. The soul of the
Club is those members who restore and ride classic BMW's from the sixties and seventies with or with out
sidecars. We have also been referred to as the "Live to ride and Ride to eat Bunch". We meet the first Sunday of each month for breakfast at local Restaurants, with a ride to follow during riding season and the third Thursday of each month for a Potluck Dinner at a Park during riding season and indoors in Lapeer in the Winter months. Mid Michigan BMW Touring Club sponsors four major events a year : Memorial Weekend,Fun on the Farm in Kentucky, Torch Lake Rally, and BMW/Sidecar Reunion Picnic in August and we wrap up the season with the Color Tour in the last weekend in September. To become a member of our club, simply come to one of our events (or Email an Officer) and introduce yourself. Our membership fees are $20.00. This gets you a monthly newsletter with all the clubs happenings and a new group of friends that have much of the same interests as you do, such as BMW motorcycles, riding and getting together for good times! |
