Accredited
University Program

Through the Migdal Ohr university program, students can pursue a profession while gaining a strong exposure to their heritage.

Currently, two majors in a secular field of study are offered, either business administration or computer science. A full curriculum of secular studies is complemented by 10 hours of Jewish studies and leadership training each week.

A local university provides the lecture environment for a group of Jewish students within the sphere of their major, whilst Migdal Ohr supplies the humanities curriculum in the form of Jewish studies. The four-year program includes a year of study in Israel, during which students receive an intensive religious education. Upon completion, students receive a degree. In Moscow, this is conferred by Touro College and in St Petersburg by the State University of Aerospace Instrumentation.

In addition to a university degree, the Moscow branch offers a teachers’ training program which allows students to pursue an exclusive Jewish studies curriculum, awarding a teaching certificate in Jewish studies upon completion.

A total of approximately 165 students participate in these programs. The Moscow branch has about 70 women and 30 men attending, while close to 50 women and 15 men are enrolled in St. Petersburg.

Summer Camps

Moscow and St. Petersburg combine their summer camps for both boys and girls, which allow students a chance to enjoy a three-week vacation within a religious framework.

In this way, the students have the opportunity to get to know youths from other cities who share their interests. The total figure for boys’ and girls’ attendance is approximately 200.
