Tuesday August,12: After watching the game I wasn't too suprised that the Dolphins lost.People put to much on the preseason.The Fins have never really done that well in the preseason.Last year they only won one last year,went 11-5, and made the playoffs.Also the Vikings won all of their preseason games last year and did terrible in the regular season.Ricky Willams didnt get a chance to do much against the Bucs.Jay Fiedler didnt produce as much as he needed to but Ray Lucas stepped up and had two great series where they scored on one and nearly scored on the other.But a fumble by Travis Minor on the goaline gave the Bucs they ball.Robert Baker stepped up also catching two key passes.Olindo Mare also missed two key field goals but hit one from 43 yards.The Dolphins defense needed to protect against the run better than they did.Well like I said the preseason does not matter and they will be ready against the Saints on Thursday.Check back here after the game to see my after game thoughts.
Friday August,16: Well once again Im not too surprised that the Dolphins lost.But I am surprised at one thing:that Ray Lucas isnt starting.Jay Fiedler goes out and throws three interceptions and Lucas goes out and scores a touchdown.It was like this in the first game.But Coach Wannstedt says that Fiedler will be the starting QB.Lucas was 6-3 as a starter with the Jets and then he got shipped off to Miami.USE HIM!If he is looking better than the starter in the preseason games he should be starting!!!
Saturday August,24: I was very impressed with the way the Dolphins played tonight.Jay Fielder had a better night than last weeks game against the Saints.He had 136 yards and 1 interception which was a major improvement from last weeks 36 yards and 3 interceptions.The rushing game has improved vastly scoring all three of the Dolphins touchdowns and Ricky Willams leading the way with 50 yards.Oronde Gadsden also had a big game with 65 yards receiving but he had that fumble in the third quater win the Dolphins were driving.I was very impressed with Adewale Ogunleye and his two sacks and Zach Thomas had one sack as well.Anyway it was a great game and I applaud the Miami Dolphins on their first preseason win!!!
Thursday August,29:Not too much to much say about this game except that the Dolphins almost blew it.
Sunday September,8: I was very impressed with the Dolphins' win today. Ricky Willams did very well in his Dolphins debut.He ran for 111 yards and Jay Fielder also did well throwing three touchdown passes for 207 yards and running for nine yards. All the receivers looked good and I think the defense should have stepped up more.They allowed 21 points which I believe should have been held to maybe seven.I also think that the offense stepped up big time scoring 49 points showing that Jay Fiedler is truly a good QB.
Sunday September,15: I thought the Dolphins could have done a better job containing Edge but all in all a good job. They did a good job stopping him when the Colts were on the 1 yard line and they held them for a turnover. Jay Fielder did a exceptional job passing for 2 touchdowns and 187 yards and a 1 yard touchdown run. Ricky Willams....what can you say except that he rushed for 132 yards and on the receiving he went for 62 yards and one TD.Second year receiver Chris Chambers might not have had a touchdown but he 57 receiving yards and I think that he is a invaluable player to have. Like I said the defense did a good job holding the Colts and the goaline stand at the end of the game to seal the victory. Yes, they made a lot of mistakes and when the correct them it will be scary to see what they can truly do.
Sunday September,22:Well,the four year losing streak against the Jets is finally over.I would also like to congratulate Ricky Williams on becoming the only Dolphin in history to run for three consecutive 100-plus running games.He ran for 151 yards,one for 53 yards a carrer best,and one touchdown.He also had two receptions for 23 yards.Jay Fiedler also had a good day throwing for 185 yards and one touchdown with no interceptions.Leading the Dolphins in receiving was Randy McMichael with five receptions for 79 yards and one touchdown.I was very proud to be a Dolphins fan today and go into Kansas City fired up and to keep your season perfect.
Sunday September,29:I have one word that summarizes the Dolphins game both on offense and defense:PATHETIC!! Jay Fiedler was 29/45 with 310 yards and FOUR INTERCEPTIONS!! Ricky Willams had 66 yards and one touchdown and also LOST A FUMBLE!! Chris Chambers had a good game with six receptions for 102 yards.The Dolphins defense did good only holding Priest Holmes to 52 yards but the pass coverage was TERRIBLE!! Trent Green threw for 328 yards and FIVE TOUCHDOWNS including THREE to Tony Gonzalez.Well, just work hard in practice this week and you may beat the Patriots.
Sunday October,6:I am very proud of the way the Dolphins played today.Jay Fiedler was 17/27 for 190 yards with two touchdowns and one rushing.Ricky Willams also had a good day with 36 carries for 105 yards.Chris Chambers and Randy McMichael followed up with one touchdown each.The defense had two interceptions today but they gave up 240 yards passing and a excellent 37 yards rushing.They now need to put this win behind them and focus on the Broncos next week.The Dolphins have the potential to go to the Super Bowl but they need to stay on the right track whcih means staying good throughout the whole year and not decline in their number of wins like the do so often.
Sunday October,13:What else can you say except:What a game!!!Jay Fiedler was 19/29 for 210 passing yards and one interception.Ricky Willams has had better nights.He only had 49 yards rushing and 30 receiving plus two touchdowns.Oronde Gadsden had 77 yards to lead the Dolphins in receiving.Olindo Mare kicked the game winning field goal with six seconds left on the clock to give the Dolphins the win in this 24-22 thriller.Some bad news though.QB Jay Fiedler is out for a month,giving Ray Lucas the start.I'm not worried about him.He looked very good during the preseason and hopefully he will lead us to some victories.Also Chris Chambers is day to day with a concussion he sufferd by Kenoy Kennedy and he will be suspended and fined.
