Profile Of A Poet
Her pen is put to paper
she scribbles out each line
And tells of fact and fantasy
in rhythm and in rhyme

A vivid imagination
is her dearest friend
As she tell all that's happened
and all that might have been

She starts to bounce on fluffy clouds
or traveling pastures green
She climbs the roughest mountainside
And crosses rushing streams

She ponders then a moment
and again begins to write
With her pen she paints a picture
of a starry moonlit night

The stroke of the pen is flawless
Putting each line in its' place
With eloquence in phrases
She lays a canvas up in space

She writes about her family
with ink that's liquid gold
Dripping from her sacred pen
Love stories now are told

Leaping from the pages,
she can never write enough
About her friends and family
And the bonding of their love

Secrets that she'd never tell
come screaming between the lines
The good, the bad, the other
Experienced in her time

She believes in fairytales
and wishing on a star
She extends friendship to all
Whether near or very far

Healing words flow easily
from the scribbles she puts down
Ways of patching up somehow
a broken heart she's found

She sees butterflies and flowers
and views them with delight
Picks up her pen to write of them
in the middle of the night

In every cloud that passes by
she sees a silver lining
She still expects a pot of gold
at the end of a road that's winding

Words of Life flow from the ink
when she writes about Gods' love
Promises that never fail
The sweetest ever heard

She has waltzed upon the Milky Way
Has caught a fallen star
Looking for a fountain of youth?
She knows just where they are

She can make your dreams come true
By spilling ink upon a line
The words someone needs to read
was written just in time

She feels your pain, brings hope again
where it was lost a while
She comes to you in written word
And leaves you with a smile

She brings rest to your soul
with a passage from the word of God
Telling how others made the journey
Going the same way you must trod

The changing of each season
Brings forth another poem
Appreciation of Gods' creation
from heart beats soft and warm

Her poems pour forth sympathy
for all who need a touch
Of one who cares and understands,
With words; she gives so much

She soars along with the eagle
to the highest mountain peak
And views the world as he does
Then her pen begins to speak

There's not much to question
about the poet, you see
She has said it all to you
Written in her poetry
