Tippy and Megan

Welcome to my online pet memorial, dedicated to the memory of two wonderful dogs.

Tippy

Tippy was a Black Lab / Cocker Spaniel mix. At least to the best of anyone's guess. She was the best dog ever. Her repertior of tricks included sit, stay, lay down, roll over, shake, high five, play dead, crawl, speak loud, speak soft. She would put her head down anywhere when asked, and perform many of her tricks by hand signal, foreign languages, and spelling them out. She loved to go for rides, chase the horses, go see grandma and grandpa (and you had best not mention their names if she wasn't going to go see them!), and surf. She would chase squirrels every chance she got... even right up the tree!

Tippy was born in 1995, and died on February 28, 2001. Her life was cut short by Lymphoma cancer. It was a terrible thing to see her suffer from the disease. She is sadly missed by many family and friends. We love you Tip!

Megan

This sweet little girl came to us from the Tuscola County Humane Society shortly after Tippy died. She was just 12 weeks old. I would like to think her days with us were happy ones. She was with us just eight short days before Parvo and Distemper took her from us. Megan was one of those pups that is so homely that she was just plain adorable. She loved to cuddle, especially right after a bath. She also liked to play with Kris and Aaron. We made sure she had plenty of toys to play with. At her age she was teething and loved to chew on anything and everyone! I think she mostly just loved having a family who loved her and cared for her and rubbed her belly. All puppies deserve to grow up to be dogs... one thing Megan missed out on. Please make sure your pets get all of their shots. Because Megan was a stray, she didn't get the important shots she needed as a young puppy and her life was cut short because of it.
