On January 15, 2000, something happened that I will never forget.  My cousin, which was 23, had passed away, but it was very unexpected. He was in a car accident with a drunk driver.  That drunk driver was suppose to be his friend, but he killed my cousin.  It was not his time to go, but I do know that he is in Heaven watching over us.

He was such a great person that loved life and everything in it.  My family will not be able to see Jimmy grow older, get married, and have children.  I do have many memories, but it still doesn't even compare to being able to see him everyday.

He was taken from us so suddenly because some guy drove drunk with my cousin and my cousin's two friends.  The guy was being careless because he had alcoholic drinks and decided to drive.  He made everyone get into the car because he thought he was able to drive.  He drove away telling everyone he was fine to drive.

They were driving to where they were staying for that night, and this drunk guy went off the road to pass a semi-truck.  He then smashed into a few fences and posts and continued on driving.  A post came through the window hitting my cousin in the chest.  After that, he did not try to get help, but drove back to the house.  Later, my cousin had passed away and this guy still was not wanting to get help, as if his life was at stake.

This guy was thinking only for himself.  He was not thinking in regards to the safety of his friends.  This guy apparently did not think highly of his friends.   First of all, he didn't get help for Jimmy,  and then later in court he tries to blame everything on my cousin.

Luckily he is in prison for a while, but he being locked up will not bring my cousin back to be with my family and friends.  This guy made a horrible mistake that will change our family's life forever.  His mistakes cost Jimmy his life.

James Brady was convicted and sent to jail for three accounts, which are:
1. Operating under the influence of liquor causing death (8-15 years).
2. Negligent homicide (2-4 years).
3. Leaving the scene of a personal injury accident (2 1/2-5 years).
The only bad thing is that he will serve the sentences concurrently.  He may be out in less than 15 years.

He just got sentenced almost 1 year after Jimmy had passed.  James Brady was still driving and drinking and everything, even though he was not supposed to.  Later, we find out that his license was suspended before this happened.

My cousin, Jimmy Head, can rest in peace since this guy was finally put in jail.  James Brady being in jail still doesn't even compare to what we have lost with Jimmy.

Apparently, this guy was not fine to drive because now my cousin is only with us in memories and with his spirit.  After that night, I will never see my cousin again.  Having any alcoholic drinks can impair your ability to drive.  It is all because of this drunk driver wanting to have a little fun.

I have so many great memories of Jimmy, which has helped me through everything.  Memories are all we have left.  Everyone really misses Jimmy and wishes he was here to share some more great memories with us.

My family and friends came together to help my Aunt, Uncle, and family out.  My brother and I considered Jimmy and Steve, which is his brother, like our brothers because our two families are so close.

This picture was taken while we were on vacation in the summer of 1998.  My mom, Jeremy, (my brother),  Me, and Jimmy, all went down together to the Huntsville Space Museum in AL and to visit family.
