Mr. Kolnicz and Mr.Jankowski's dream was to establish Polish plaza to serve the growing northeast suburbs. They bought a lot on 15 Mile and Dequindre where Mark opened Polish Market store, Jankowski travel agency Amerpol and rest of the lot was lease for plaza enlargement. One of the people eager to lease part of the lot was Halina and Bogdan Nalichowski with idea to open Polish Art & Books bookstore. Since July 2001, Polish Art & Books bookstore is open and its growing number of loyal customers is still increasing.
Polish Art & Books mission is spreading and supporting Polish culture and tradition in United States. We want to make easier for Polish people to have access to information, and the books, newspapers, music and videos have the intention to enrich people's knowledge what is happening in Poland. We care to support tradition from every region of Poland by importing many goods and gifts from those regions. Assortment that we have to offer is intend for everyone starting from the youngest to the oldest, and Polish to English speakers.
Polish Art & Books also cares about Polish culture here by promoting and sponsoring concerts and events where main purpose is supporting Polish custom among Polish people living in United States.
