My History: "In 2000 Cobra re-emerged, bigger and stronger, and the Joes were reinstated." So says the G.I. Joe Comic-Well I say screw the comic, this is my story: Cobra was never defeated, and neither was the Joes. The Joes came close to beating Cobra in 1996, when they launched a massive attack on Cobra Island, and destroyed the Terrordrome. But, now Cobra is back, and with Serpentor as their leader. The Joes struggle to stay in control over their overwhelming opponents.

Here is how it works for me, in 1987: The G.I. Joe Movie came out, right? In that, Serpentor died, CC was turned into a snake, and we were introduced to Cobra La, correct? (I am completely ignoring the DIC storyline that followed this) Well in my story, in 1987 the Joes did meet Cobra La, and they did fight them similar to how the movie depicts. But, CC didn't get spored, and Serpentor didn't die. He remained in power. Also I've thrown in the idea of the Cobra Civil War, in which in my take, Cobra Commander suceeded from Serpentor and fought him in the Trucial Ablysmia, where Serpentor was wounded, not killed. He survived the battle and Cobra was rejoined, this time Serpentor made sure that Dr. Mindbender made Cobra Commander loyal to Serpentor, in which he did, but over years it has lost its effect on CC and now he has free will and plots against Serpentor.

Then in 1996, world leaders came to the decesion to destroy Cobra. And several forces joined together and attacked Cobra Island, destroying the Terrordrome and most of the Cobra fleet. In the battle, Dr. Mindbender, the Baroness, and Cesspool were all killed, and the Cobra hierarchy retreated to an underground bunker. Two years past, and then Cobra re-emerged, and attacked the USA with several smooth, decisive victories led by Serpentor himself. Now for the past four years, the Joes and Cobra have had an ongoing battle with each other, with victory out of sight for either side. But newly elected President Davidson convinces the public that Cobra isn't much of a threat. He couldn't be any more wrong. Now, Cobra has a new plan: a plan that will hold the United States and G.I. Joe at their mercy. And it starts in The Serpent Wars....

Summary: Cobra attacks a US bunker and G.I. Joe is unable to stop them from stealing data-discs. These discs contain information on how to build an electric-paralyzer--a portable gun that fires an EMP wave, disabling anything relying on electronics. Now here is where Cobra's plan seems to contradict itself--they aren't after any EMP gun, not yet atleast...They are playing something much, MUCH more deadly...

Now Cobra plans to blackmail the US with the discs, and they set-up an exchange with the Joes for something odd: Codes to gain access to Intella Bank Systems Vaults. This becomes an odd play for Cobra, as the Joes uncover a plot of assassination involving the President of the United States of America, William James Davidson, and a mysterious woman who is claimed to be the daughter of Serpentor! Everything pulls into perspective when tragedy strikes the heart of the United States executive office, and the Joes are left scrambeling for retalliation.

G.I. Joe must come up with a way to defeat Cobra and stop this black-mailing of the United States. This proves to be to much for the Joes as they will soon find out. And when they have to attack two seperate locations, choices must be made, orders from superior officers must be ignored, or it means the end of the world.

At a remote island in the Pacific, Cobra has set up a mountain base--which packs a punch... The JIAS project nears completion and its payload is of the highest of lethal ability--an IRBM....

And beyond all of this is what truley comes home in this epic saga, a story known throughout the ages and set, this time with the backdrop of war, the story is to be known only by true love...

As two Cobra agents draw closer and closer to each other, the choice must be made in order for their relationship to fufill, Jamie McKenzy must choose the man she loves dearly or her brother's life...But this becomes more and more complicated for young Vypra as she soon learns that her signifigant other, Michael Sykes, and her some-what crazed, esentric brother, Jack McKenzy, can not conicide in the same world with each other....

This is The Serpent Wars.....
