Next up, one of my all-time favorite figures: Recondo. I don't think I can say enough about how much I love this character and this figure. Granted, it may not seem that way, judging by how The Serpent Wars completely changes the character of Recondo into someone completely different, but believe me when I say that I love this figure.

Recondo has a sort of spark in him whenever I look at the figure. His rugged appearance is also edged with a side of honor, reverence, and respect from his fellow Joes. Recondo's trademark signature bush hat is one-of-a-kind in the Joe world. His rifle doesn't do much to tickle my fancy; I would have rathered something like an AK-47--as you see him in The Serpent Wars--but I'll settle with the one he recieved.

Recondo's simple earth-tone colors work wonders for the mold. While his head isn't a ball joint, he is still leaps and bounds above a lot of what Hasbro is producing today. His simple jacket and khaki pants just scream "we were made for this figure and this figure alone."

I'm iffy in regards to the Tiger Force Recondo--it doesn't have the same power over me that the version one Recondo does--and I absolutely dread the new thing that Hasbro is calling Recondo. They massacred the name of Recondo when they made that hidious new scuplt incarnation. Remake versions of the figure not withstanding, I'll always love this figure. The mold is perfect and the colors are a dead-on match for him. He is one of a kind, and there's only a few GI Joe figures I enjoy more than him.
