Ode to a Brownie

Oh, how you relax upon that paper plate,
As if it were the finest china.
Beckoning me to taste you, to experience all
You have to offer.
Rich chocolate cake, dark fudge frosting, walnuts,
And one special ingredient,
That wasn't in my mom's recipe.
You are such the popular one at parties,
Raising everyone's spirits,
As they hungrily devourer you.
But only I know your secret,
Your special quality, that little extra something.
Little Debbie you are not.
What extraordinary part of you,
Makes me so very happy, tired, and hungry,
At the same time
I sit alone in my kitchen, munching, hashing out my thoughts
Of you.
