I would like to take a minute to tell you a little bit about my business. I have been in the drywall business
since 2001. I have worked in over 200 homes with a previous employer before I started my own business. I have completed three homes on my own, two living rooms,
one bathroom and one bedroom.
My hourly rate is $17.50. I have traveled as far as 45 miles from Ironwood, MI where I live for drywall jobs. Drywall is usually a six step process. One step per day. Step one hang the drywall. Step two tape the joints. Step three coat the joints. Step four coat the joints again. Step five sand the joints and finally Step six paint and cleanup. When I do a job the homeowner plays a key roll in ordering the supplies to keep my costs and there costs down. I let them know what to order and they get it anyplace they like so that they know the costs of everthing. I supply all of the tools unless a ceiling lift is required to raise the drywall to a high ceiling. They are around $30 a day to rent.
