Breed: Mix

DOB: 7/91

Sex: Male (neutered

Weight: 10 lbs.

AKA: Almoe, Moe, Moses, Moe Moe,

Almont is named for the town of Almont. We found him at the airport that used to be north of town. He was about four weeks old and had apparently been tossed out of a car window. His face and a paw were all scraped up, and no one had any idea where he came from. He was so small you could hold him in one hand. Kim fell in love with him and him with her.

At about eight months old, Moe used up one of his "nine lives". One morning when I was leaving for work, he slipped out the door without anyone seeing him. Kim was working that day too and did a head-count before leaving, Almont was nowhere to be found. She went off to work, hoping he was somewhere in the house. Kim soon called, worried about her cat; she told me to go home at lunch to look for him (We lived in Warren at the time). I went home and looked all around the house, inside and out, no Almont. After work still no Almont. Kim came home all upset. We looked and called for him all around the house; then we went knocking on doors. No one had seen him. When we were back on our porch, we could, just barely, hear a cat crying. We zeroed in on it and could not believe, it was coming from under the hood of Kim’s car. We opened the hood and there was Moe on top of the battery, hunkered down, hot, and dirty. He had jumped up there before Kim left for work, rode all the to work with her, (expressway and all) sat still for twelve hours while she was at work, rode all the way back home and was still sitting there. Unbelievable!

Almont is a nice boy that gets along well with everyone. He actually seems to love dogs, and he will sometimes even go over and groom them. He used to wrestle with Oreo all the time when they were young.

Moe is Kim’s lover boy. He sits on her lap all night, every night. He loves for her to hold him against her shoulder like a baby and whisper "sweet nothings" in his ear. It really is kind of nauseating.
