What must we do to be saved from the penalty of sin?
Romans 10:9 says, "That if you confess with your mouth that,
'Jesus is Lord,'
and believe in your heart that God raised
Him from the dead,
you will be saved." Isn't that Wonderful?!
God
can give your life meaning if you will take these five
steps.
Step 1
Recognize
that.....GOD LOVES YOU and Has a Plan for Your Life
For
God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever
believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
(John 3:16)
Step 2
Recognize
that ~ Everyone has SINNED and SIN SEPERATES us from
GOD
SIN
is man walking in his own way in rebellion against God's
will.
When we walk away from God, we walk away from life.
For
all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
(Romans 3:23)
As
sinners we futilely try to find life's true meaning in
the wrong ways and places.
There
is a way that seems right to man, but it leads to death.
(Pro. 14:12)
Step 3
JESUS
DIED AND ROSE AGAIN FOR OUR SINS
He
DIED in OUR place.
But
God demonstrates his own love for us in this:
While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Rom.
5:8)
JESUS
is the WAY to New Life.
Therefore,
if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation;
the old has gone, the new has come!" 2 Cor. 5:17)
He
gives INNER PEACE.
We
have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ Rom.
5:1)
AND
FREEDOM.
So
if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. (John
8:36)
AND
ETERNAL LIFE.
...but
the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
(Rom. 6:23)
Step 4
ASK GOD for
FORGIVENESS
CONFESS
YOUR SINS TO GOD
He
who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever
confesses
and renounces them finds MERCY. (Pro. 28:13
FORGIVENESS
is PROMISED.
If
we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will
forgive us our sins
and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)
Step 5
Place Your TRUST in
CHRIST and Receive HIM as Your SAVIOR.
CHRIST
is READY.
Here
I am! I stand at the door and knock, if anyone hears my
voice
and
opens the door. I will go in.~ (Rev. 3:30)
Receive
HIM NOW.
Yet
to all who receive him, to those who believed in his name
he gave them the right to become children of God.
What
to Pray.....
Lord Jesus, I admit I am a sinner. I need forgiveness. I am sorry for my sins and I don't want to sin against You anymore. I believe You are the Son of God and You died on the cross for MY sins. I also believe that you rose from the dead so that I, too, may have everlasting life. Please forgive me now Lord and cleanse me. Come into my heart and give me a new life. Thank You, Jesus, for shedding your blood for me and for hearing and answering my prayer. Amen

What to do next
1: Find a Bible believing church and go forward at the invitation time,
confessing your faith in Jesus Christ. "For the scripture saith, whosoever
believeth on Him shall not be ashamed." - Romans 10:11
2: Be Baptized "Then they that glady received His Word were baptized." - Acts 2:41
3: Pray every day "Let us therefore come bodly unto the throne of grace,
that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." - Hebrews 4:16
4: Read your Bible every day "Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not
sin against thee." - Psalm 119:111
5: Claim God's promise in the time of temptation "There hath no temptation taken
you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you
to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a
way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." - 1 Corinthians 10:13
6: Tell someone else about Jesus "That which we have seen and heard declare we
unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is
with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ." - 1 John 1:3
