*1998*
The first
season for the Custers Crimson Tide in the League of Champions. It was a
predictable season, The Tide was 64-98 4th in the Division out of 5 teams so at
least we got the best of somebody. The only bright side of the season was
Drafting 2B Jose Vidro and SS Miguel Tejada. There's really nothing else to say
about this season other then it was a building block for years to come for the
Crimson Tide Organization. Also it was the first of many meetings between
Custers Crimson Tide and the Atlanta Crackers were are the inter-division
rivals.
*1999*
The second
season for the Custers Crimson Tide. Trading for 1B Carlos Delgado, OF Magglio
Ordonez and C Mike Lieberthal turns out to be key in the upcoming year. Also
helping the Crimson Tide achieve there first Memorable Season. Placing 2nd
in the division to rival Atlanta, also going over .500 for the first time at
84-78.
*2000*
The third
season for the Custers Crimson Tide. Drafting 3B Placido Polanco to fill a much
need hole, also stealing RP Ray King in the 1st rd. Lifted us to our First
Division Win with a record of 92-70. Also making the playoffs for the
first time. Everyone was surprised to see Custer in the playoffs. Especially
since the Pitching staff was left by SP Jamey Wright 14-6 and Trading for RP
phenomenon Armando Benitez saving 15 games down the stretch. Going down 3-1 to
Los Altos Mob in the National League Pennant series. Custers game came back to
take the series in 7 games. Then facing the New Jersey Nukes in the World Series
Managed by good friend Carlos Garcia. It was sure to be a good series. Custers
took 3 of the first 4 games. Behind a hot bat of Carlos Delgado and some
momentum carried over from the Pennant Series. The Nukes came back to win games
5 and 6 behind the pitching of Pedro Martinez and the bat of Bernie Williams.
Then Custers traveled to New Jersey to face the Nukes for game 7 and the
World Series Championship. Custer took a early 3-1 lead and continued the
pace to win the game 5-2, clenching the World Series title for the Custers
Crimson Tide!
*2001*
The 4th
season for the Custers Crimson Tide. Considering the Schedule Custers Manger Dan
Bacon was keeping they conceded the season going 65-97 the worst season since
there expansion season in 1998. Bright spots were once again Carlos Delgado,
Magglio Ordonez, Jose Vidro and Miguel Tejada.
*2002*
The 5th
season for the Crimson Tide. A suprising year for the Tide, not expected by any
to do anything in the league this year. But as most cases we rubbed that in
everyones faces and had a exceptional year. Having a 88-74 record and getting
2nd place in our division. Custers had the division lead all the way up to the
all-star break and afterwards. But inferior pitching held the Tide from
Obtaining their second Division Title. Bright Spots were Carlos Delgado, Miguel
Tejada, Alex Sanchez, Kevin Mench, Paul Walker, Jeff D'amico and Armando
Benitez.
