Anson Carter Scores Game Winner.



New Right Winger Anson Carter scored the game winner on friday nite's game aginst the Stars. The goal was scored in the 2nd period and it was assited by Mike Rathje and Brendan Shanahan.

The scoring was started by veteran Brett Hull(5) from Mathieu Dandenault and Captian Steve Yzerman. Later in the period on the Power Play Chris Chelios (3) from Kris Draper and newly aquired Defenceman Mike Rathje. The Wings scored again 20 seconds later Kris Draper (6) from Krik Maltby and Mike Rathje.

Anson Carter started off the scoring in the 2nd period. Carter (10) from Brendan Shanahan and Mike Rathje. Rathje caps his 3 point nite with an assit on Avlanche team Anson Carter's goal. The Stars tried to come back but fell 1 goal short as Zubov(3), Modano(10) and Sydor (4). Cujo stopped 28 of the 31 shots the Stars blasted at him.






















The Wings Trade Lidstrom and gain youth.



Late in the night GM of the Red Wings Brad was contacted by Dan of the Colorado Avalanche. It is reported that the deal took almost two hours to complete and Colorado was looking for Lidstrom, Draper, and a 1st rounder.

In the end it ended up that Lidstrom and Devearoux would go to Colorado, along with 3 million dollars and the 1st round pick this year. Comming to Detroit Anson Carter, Mike Rathje, and Vinne Damphousse.

"I am glad to come to detroit, I hope we play great and get the wins to bring the cup home." said Anson Carter. After the deal we caught up with GM Brad and he had this to say "well i didn't want to trade Nick all that much but getting Carter and Rathje make up for that." Expectations for the team grew a bit more after the deal, With the team sitting 3rd in the West they are looking to get out and reclaim the top spot.
