Welcome to Painted L Ranch
the home of Bill & Julie Lingard.
Bill and I met in 1991 in San Diego. We got married in 1993 and in 1995 decided
to change our pace of life and moved to Missouri. We bought a house with 10
acres and an old barn. We got the place all fixed up, had a barn full of horses
and then got transferred to Michigan.
Bill is a Senior Project Engineer with General
Motors and works in the city of Pontiac. I am a part time administrative
assistant for Northwestern Mutual
Life Insurance in Grand Blanc.
Since moving to Michigan we have added 4 stalls to the existing barn, erected a
48x54 pole barn and added a pond. We raised several foal
crops and even decided to put up our own hay. We bought a colt as a future
stallion prospect and hit the show circuit.
As all of you know, horses can overtake your life. After much thought and
discussion we decided to cut back and start enjoying our lives again. It
took 2 years but sold most of our horses and the hay equipment. We took up
trail riding and camping.
Our family now consists of a Miniature American Eskimo, 3 inside cats, 4 barn
cats, 2 chickens and 3 horses.
