The Mongols of Gamma Chapter

The birth of the Gamma Chapter of Beta Kappa Phi is a historic moment in the history of the Fraternity, because it is the first chapter to be established at a college or university outside of the state of Michigan. Many were called upon to carry out the traditon of Beta, but only two were chosen.

Gamma Chapter was founded when Brothers Phil Lee journeyed south to find men that could represent the fraternity in a positive light, and continue on with the traditions of Beta. Upon his return to Michigan, Brother Phil Lee requested the aid of Brother DeMarrio Boles to assist him in establishing a new chapter.

On December 20th 2002, two young men from Cleveland, Ohio made the long and treacherous journey into the Midnight. Seeing all that was lacking in the greek system in Cleveland, and wanting to become a part of something special, and great, these two men journeyed North to see what was the best organization. The clouds covered the land. When the light of the moon touched the land, these two men became the newest members of Beta Kappa Phi, and brought the Midnight to Cleveland State University.

The Brothers of Gamma Chapter will forever be known as the Mongols, because no matter how many oppose them, the yards are laid to waste, wherever they set foot. No matter the challenge, Gamma Chapter will show what it means to ENTER THE MIDNIGHT
