About Brighton Area Fire Department:
Brighton Area Fire Department proudly protects 40000 people living in an area of 53 square miles. We operate out of 4 stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a paid on call status.

The Brighton Area Fire Department was created on July 1, 1998 through a merger between the City of Brighton Fire Department and Brighton Township Fire Department. BAFD covers all of the City of Brighton, Brighton Township, and approximately 1/2 of Genoa Township in Livingston County.

Station 33 is located on the south-east side of Brighton Township.
