Amasa Stone Spec.'s

The Amasa Stone was built at the Detroit Ship Building Company in Wyandotte, Michigan. Launched on March 30, 1905, she was 545 feet overall, with a beam of 55 feet and a depth of 31 feet. Among her three cargo holds, she could carry up to 10,000 tons. She was powered by a 1800 ihp triple expansion engine with steam supplied by two scotch boilers. With the throttles open; the turns of the 14 foot in diameter wheel would move the Stone at 10 knots.
