There are many diffrent kinds of robots, military robots, industrial robots, and robots in entertainment. A typical robot has a movable physical structure, a sensor system, a power supply and a computer that controls all of these things. Robots are man made versions of animal life, they are machines that simulate human and animal behavior.
Robots are very diffrent from other moveable machines because of their computer element. The predator for instance is a high tech military plane, controled by military personal hundreds of miles away. This plane is used as a spy plane, and sends a signal to a satilite, which then sends a signal to our military. This would not be possible it it was not for robotics.
Industrial robots are true marvels of engineering. A robot the same size as a person can easily lift and carry a load over one hundred pounds and move it very quickly. Plus these robots can do this twenty four hours a day, without taking a break or messing up.
Robots in entertainment, like the one in the picture, are advancing. These robots can now dance, sing, and even carry on a conversation with a human being. Robots are becoming more and more advanced as the years go by, and pretty soon people will be using really advanced robots for cleaning around the house, and entertainment.
