Notes about the lyrics: My current e-amil is MeccaYdna@aol.com. The e-mail address I list for myself at the bottom of each page is no longer valid! This means do not e-mail me at ydna@herzeleid.net. Parenthesis around a line denotes that it is not sung by Till the vocalist. In most cases, these lines are sung by either only Richard the guitarist or both Richard and Paul the guitarists. But they are not the only backup singers in the band as there have been others on several occasions, sometimes even generated by Flake's keyboard. There are four types of annotations for the lyrics that will be found after the translation in parenthesis. If a line is marked lit, the following text is the literal translation of the German line. If the line is marked fig, the following text is a figurative translation of the original, literal German translation. If a line is marked alt, the following text is an alternate translation of the line. If the line is marked idm, the following text is the English version of the original, colloquial, German line. Idm is short for idiom, which is a colloquial expression used only in one language, almost like slang. At the bottom of the page, on the left side, I will mark special information about the song or its lyrics. All songs contain a German/English translation. All songs which have French lyrics inside the Herzeleid jewel case (Das Alte Leid, Heirate Mich, and Herzeleid) include a German/English translation and a French/English translation as well. All multilingual translations were done by Ydna. You may not use them without my permission. Each lyrics page must be viewed at a minimum of 800x600 pixel resolution, and the maximum Internet Explorer text size should be set to medium. If you don't use these settings while viewing the lyrics, the measures and stanzas of the songs may not match up correctly. Also, maximize your browser window. Sorry for any inconvience.
