The Library of Knowledge

Credits

Although I wrote almost all of the pages which are now called The Library of Knowledge, I am no longer responsible for the writing the whole thing (due to our Masters, which have graciously offered their time and experience), nor am I the originator of a large amount of the ideas in this compilation. Many people helped along the way when they saw that I was trying to produce a quality website about magic and rallied to the cause. This page, which is not by any means exhaustive, is dedicated to those that contributed in various ways:

David Zain Fate most certainly smiled on me the day that David Zain dropped by the #occult_knowledge chatroom. David Zain has helped me in so many ways it is hard to keep track. Taking the responsibility of Forum Admin, Archluminary of Wizardry, IRC channel SOp, and even going so far as to help me tinker and refine personal project of mine, his contributions have always been excellent. If emails are too much one day, or if I have a few projects on the goal, David has always been there to shoulder the burden like a true friend. Thank you.

Cerridwen: Just for fun, and often to make me laugh on a down day, her non-confrontational approach to all life in general has helped to pull me through those days when the book stacks seem eye-level and the adversity simply unbearable. She has aided me in the little nuisances that would otherwise prevent me from concentrating on the site, among other things, and for that I do sincerely thank her. She is a great aid to me, a comfort, and my best friend. And if she sticks around long enough I'm going to try to marry her. ;)

Ailleas: Having signed on to The Hall of Legions as, perhaps, the most promising Enchanter I have ever had the privelege to talk to, Ailleas was taken from us in a car accident. Her work is a testament, her life a joy, and her death a tragedy. She is already sorely missed...

Hekat: An inspiration and helping hand along the way, Hekat has advised and aided me in whatever way she can (despite having never met me IRL and occasionally getting short, hostile answers, long waiting periods between responses and occasionally insane monologues from me). She is also the sole reason that this website has any graphics at all. Back in the day, The Library of Knowledge was black text on a white background. There were no colours, no backgrounds, and very little aestethic appeal overall. She took hours of her own time to add all of the original graphics to The Library of Knowledge for no charge and with no complaints. She has an excellent site on Eclectic Sorcery and Magecraft which she has allowed me to cite and acts as a general cure to whatever concerns may arise. Thank-you.

Collen the Druid: He put up with a lot of flak from a potential Master once and handled the situation with all the grace of a Druid. He consistently informed me of happenings when he could, for much less hassle, simply leave me "out of the loop". A Druid and a gentleman -- thank you for your time with The Hall of Legions. Safe journeys.

Overt Enemy: Overt Enemy, not too long back, found that I wanted a certain grimoire and not only found it for me, but loaded me up with a good number of classic grimoires by his own initiative without any apparent reward. If more people were like him, everyone would have someone to help them. Thank you.

Cerberus the Wizard: The first advisor to sign up, Cerberus was with The Hall of Legions for 2 years. His patience with new magicians and his willingness to help made him an asset to The Hall of Legions. It is appreciated, and thank you for putting faith in the work here while it was still young.

The IRC Chatters: This is a simple acknowledgement to all those people that faithfully attend the #occult_knowledge chatroom on Dalnet, and who try to make learning and growing in the occult arts a painless process. Many thanks for answering the questions that arise, helping newcomers, and generally being there for whatever might enter the room.

Philosopher Ice the Healer: Philosopher Ice, with tact and knowledge, is a valuable addition to The Hall of Legions, providing support for aspiring Healers and as a screening agent for potential Masters. Master Philosopher Ice is also the author of the Advanced Healing page.

You: Thank you for taking the time to look through The Library of Knowledge. At the time of my last update of this page (January 18th, 2003), TLoK averages around 1000 unique hits per day. "Unique" as defined by not counting reloads or rehits by the same computer in one day; furthermore, my (Tomekeeper's) computer is excluded from this count altogether. It's the readers that have made this possible. The Library of Knowledge, while on most search engines, does get a fair bit of traffic simply from the referrals of other people. If you liked this site, link to it and tell someone else about it. If you didn't, tell me why. Reader feedback and support are what make this all possible. A thank-you to everyone who reads this site.

It is true to assume that Tomekeeper has written all of the pages on this series (The Library of Knowledge) as original works, with the exception of the Advanced Healing page which I can not improve upon. The author of the Advanced Healing page is "Philosopher Ice".
