Willow

A willow sighed,

Weeping in the dead of the night,

A sharp pain stabbing

All that she remembered,

A trial quicker than

A lesser being trying to flee,

Fate decided for her

To forget what she believed,

A breeze swept through the darkness,

Drying her tears of pain,

Only for her to cry once again,

As all she knows slips away,

Darkness getting darker, if at all possible,

Her sobbing growing louder,

Can no one hear her screams,

She stops, breathes, wipes tears from her face,

And thinks back to a better day,

Before, when the world was brighter,

And now all she sees is blackness,

Her future seems so bleak,

Without a hope, a prayer,

A conscious effort to live,

A wish to die crosses her mind,

Silence all around her,

Not a bird, not a word,

Eerie feelings of insecurity,

Paranoia overtaking all boundries,

Helpless, hopeless, loveless,

More than one part of her missing,

A difference to her life,

An indifference to the world,

A sleep to overtake the pain,

Coma see her through,

Pass the days faster,

Unconsciousness so divine.
