This is my
current passion....I have a small collection of herps that I am
constantly admiring and building new habitats for.
Lizards
I have a 6
year old, male bearded dragon named Jupiter. He is the pride and joy of
my collection and has traveled all over the place with me, including a
couple of college classes:) He loved my zoology proff's voice. It is
loud and rather booming so everytime the proff raised his voice,
Jupiter became very excited as if he wanted to run up to the podium and
see who was making all that noise. He is housed in 50 gallon wide
tank, with washed sand as substrate. The basking spot is about 110
degrees F, with the cool end being about 85F. And he will eat most
anything, in limited quantities. I have given him the following foods
will no ill results: Clover, Romaine Lettuce, Mustard Greens, Scrambled
Eggs( with no milk in them, a good idea when the pet store is out of
crix for a week:) ), Apple, Bananas, Orange, Grapefruit, Grapes,
Raspberries( his favorite), Celery Leaves, Strawberries, Carrots, Peach/
Banana baby food( another favorite, I hand feed it to him with a baby
spoon, it is sooo cute :), Crickets, Meal worms, Wax worms, Superworms,
and Earthworms. WARNING!!!! DO NOT feed your bearded dragon
Lightening Bugs, they are poisonous to dragons and will kill them
within 72 hours!!!!!

Current Projects
Right now, as
you read this, I am working on ten gallon tank for my Brown anole. Being
that they like to climb alot, I am coating the back and sides of the
tank with stones I picked up at the beach a while back. After careful
cleaning, I am aquarium cementing the stones into ledges and caves on
the back wall. I have roughly half of it done, but am quickly running
out of stones:) But that is okay, there are plenty more out there, just
gotta go get them:)
I am
currently making a notebook of all the ideas that I have come up with so
far in my herping experience, maybe someday I will publish
them...but for now, the pages keep growing....
Wanting to
buy a Reptarium, they seem like a good idea, though right now I don't
have any room for the 6' tall one...heheheh
Emerald City
Reptiles sells them for a low price...maybe even free shipping, I can't
remember.
