These illustrations show a typical special halfshaft set produced and heat treated in one week. The induction hardening process is critical to obtain 58 to 60 Rockwell for a depth of 2 to 5 mm and leave the core hardness unchanged. The test piece is verified for correct heat treat (see below photo) . For best fit we need actual samples of the male splines (send the old halfshafts) and the actual female splined components (send  the mating parts - inner tripot "spider" and outer wheel components).
