    Details of Disappearance
Allen's father has been her primary caregiver since she was three years old. Her mother, Dara Marie Llorens, had visitation rights to Allen, who is the product of a three-year marriage between Llorens and Allen's father. Photos and vital statistics for Llorens are posted below this case summary. She was reportedly unhappy about the custody arrangement and complained to Child Protective Services (CPS) that Allen's father was abusing their daughter. CPS investigated the claims and found them to be baseless. They suspected that Llorens had fabricated the allegations and ordered her into therapy. Shortly after this, Llorens picked up her daughter for a weekend visitation on April 19, 2002. Allen was wearing a navy blue knee-length dress at the time and may have also been wearing a small silver necklace with a silver cross, since she usually has it on.
When Llorens did not return the child on April 21, her father reported her missing. Llorens was indicted for abducting Allen on April 29, ten days after Allen was last seen. She had moved out of her residence and left a false forwarding address, and stopped showing up for work. Llorens abandoned her vehicle, a Jeep Cherokee, in Austin and it is now in the possession of an aunt. All of Llorens's friends and family members say they do not know where she and Allen are. Allen is thought to be endangered due to her mother's personality disorders.
In June 2003, the MPCCN listed Allen's case as resolved after learning that authorities had surrounded a house in Mexico City where Llorens and Allen resided. However, Allen was not, in fact, recovered. She and Llorens escaped after the Mexican police lifted their surveillance. They may still be in that country, or they may be in the American states of Texas or New Mexico. The Mexican authorities say they could not arrest Llorens because she is a United States citizen who has not committed any crimes on Mexican soil.
At the time of her sighting in Mexico, Allen's hair was cut short and dyed black, as were her eyebrows and eyelashes. It may have since been dyed red. Photographs taken of her while in Mexico are posted above. She was attending the Tegüi preschool in Mexico City under the name Blanca Aurora Fabian Uribe and was called Blanquita. Her mother called herself Adriana Fabian Uribe. Allen reportedly appeared unhappy and neglected, and told people at her preschool that her mother was having financial problems. Allen spoke Spanish with an American accent and at the time she was seen in Mexico, was learning to read and write in Spanish.
Allen is described as a friendly, curious, and active, tomboyish child. She enjoys Barbie dolls, bugs, spiders, frogs, dress-up games, the television show Scooby-Doo, and movies, especially the movie Snow White. Her case remains unsolved.
