I purchased this plant in 1994 or 1995 from Intermountain Cactus, 1478 N. 750 East, Kaysville, UT 84037, (801) 546-2006. They have a good selection of outdoor cacti and succulents, and ship good-sized healthy plants.

I have not seen much reference to this plant in any of my books, beyond one book saying than one plant looks a lot like Opuntia nicholli. Anyway, it has nice pink flowers, and the plant is good too. It's very solid, and not quite as sprawling as some of the other hardy prickly pears.
