Godzilla Zero Hour:

GZH is the world's first ever full length Godzilla film made by non professional artists. Set for release in summer 2007, the first episode of Godzilla: Zero Hour will run approximately 45 minutes in length, containing all original CG effects and an original score, this project is the first to ever pit the classic Japanese monsters, GODZILLA and GAMERA against each other in a battle to the death- both fully realized without the use of suits.

G-FEST INFORMATION:

Tickets are:

$29 per adult for three days
$20 per adult for one day
Parking $18.00 a day.

There is a 13% tax on the hotel if you stay there. Cheapest room is $123.00 a night for 4 MAX in a room. However, these rooms probably are all gone.

NORTHWEST AIRLINES:

Air flights on Saturday, July 7 via NW Airline Flight from Detroit (DTW) Metro to Chicago (ORD) O’Hare Leave and Arrive a few times. Travel time is 1 hour, 16 min. but we will fly into another time zone gaining us time.

THE G-FEST XIV THEME IS - GODZILLA VERSUS KING KONG:

G-FEST is the largest regular gathering of Godzilla and Japanese monster fans in the world. Held each summer, G-FEST typically attracts about 1000 attendees. In 2005, more than 1300 attended.

G-FEST is a family-oriented convention which caters to a wide variety of interests within the kaiju genre. G-FEST features presentations and Q & A sessions by actors and crew from the Japanese Godzilla films, fan presentations on topics of interest, contests and gaming, new and classic kaiju movies, the western world’s largest kaiju-oriented dealers room, and lots of fun and camaraderie.

THIS YEAR’S CONVENTION:

In 2007, G-FEST will be held from July 6th through July 8th. The location is the same as last year, the Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare in Rosemont, IL, just outside Chicago. This year’s theme is “Godzilla vs King Kong.” Participants are encouraged, but not required, to consider the theme when preparing artwork, costumes and models for contest purposes. Guests this year are actors Rhodes Reason, Shelley Sweeney and Robert Scott Field.

G-FEST XIV Schedule:

Registration opens Friday morning, and activities commence on Friday afternoon. Dealer’s room opens Friday evening from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Activities continue Friday evening, all day Saturday, and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Movies are screened at the nearby Pickwick Theatre on Friday and Saturday night. Sessions involving special guests mostly take place on Saturday, along with autograph sessions. Dealers room is open Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
