PAPER GOODS, OFFICE, SCHOOL, PART 4: ELMER'S PRODUCTS

The glue and craft products of Elmer's Products, Inc., of Columbus, Ohio, have been been staples of American kids' school boxes for a few decades. The white bottle of Elmer's School Glue, with its orange and blue label with Elmer the Bull's serious face, is a familiar sight to parents and youngsters.

Elmer's is making a few Harry Potter glue and craft products. For instance, the Troll Booger Glue, "picked fresh from the troll's nose," is simply repackaged School Glue. For a lid, Harry is seen with the head of the agonized mountain troll. This is when he and his friends were fighting the creature in the restroom.

Magical Art Glaze is a clear coat liquid that can be applied to arts and craft things to make them "shimmer and shine," as the package states. The shiny stuff comes in a miniature cauldron.

Disappearing Glue Sticks come three to a package, with illustrations of Hermione, Harry and Professor Snape. The glue goes on clear, which is why it disappears.

The Every Scent Markers (as opposed to Every Flavor Beans?) come in eight colors and scents "ranging from the delightful to the despicable," as Elmer's says.

The House of Hogwarts Glitter Quills are actually plastic tubes with the four Hogwarts house crests on them. The glitter is supposed to add a 3D effect to artwork. Colors are matched to a house color: Slytherin, green; Hufflepuff, yellow; Ravenclaw, blue; Gryffindor, red.
