LEGO unveiled the first of its Chamber of Secrets-themed playsets at the Toy Industry Association's American International Toy Fair in New York City in February 2002. This is a welcome move by the company, which kept its Sorcerer's Stone characters and sets under wraps for most of 2001, making fans wait till the fall. The items below are only previews; expect the sets to come out in summer or fall 2002.
To look back at Sorcerer's Stone sets, see the Part 1 and Part 2 pages.
| This first one is the Crabbe and Goyle set, with the two Slytherins and what appears to be their house's Common Room. It's appropriately decked out with snakes and green and silver coloring. They could be used as themselves or as Harry and Ron after they took the Polyjuice Potion and assumed their likenesses. This set also should satisfy the Slytherin fans who thought there was too much emphasis on Gryffindor in the first sets. | ![]() |

At last LEGO has introduced a Quidditch set, which gives you a little more Slytherin (Draco is there) and a good ol' house rivalry with Gryffindor (Harry is at left). Madam Hooch is at center to referee, and other familiar stuff, such as the endzone hoops and a spectator box, also are shown. |
| And because she's so funny looking, I include an image of the Madam Hooch figure. Her costuming is based on the outfit worn by Zoë Wanamaker in this role in the movies (see the Annie Leibovitz photo of her. Those huge eyeglasses she wears may actually be goggles, just like the ones Wanamaker had. | ![]() |
