When Lindy Hemming became costume designer for the series of James Bond films starring Pierce Brosnan, she broke with tradition in selecting his suits. For over 30 years, Agent 007 wore London-tailored suits, but Hemming went to the fashion mecca of Italy and ordered them from Brioni, based in Rome. Her work on the Bond flicks extends to outfits and gowns for the so-called "Bond girls" who appear in every movie, and costumes for the villains. The Bond movies to which Hemming has been assigned are GoldenEye (1995), Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), The World Is Not Enough (1999) and Beyond the Ice (2002).
