| Arthur Price of England, Ltd., in Lichfield, Staffordshire County, has been in business nearly 140 years. The company creates high-end cutlery (knives) and silver and pewter dishes. It boasts its appointment to Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles.
It produced these premium pewter figurines of major Harry Potter characters. Talk about eye-poppingly expensive -- each of the smaller ones is $44 U.S., and Hagrid is $210 U.S. They are in the league of Mattel's collector series and Enesco's Masterpiece Collection. Hagrid is 6 inches tall, and all others stand 3 inches. Harry is the oddest of this lot; his eyeglasses look more like old-fashioned pilot's goggles. He also is too geeky looking. The figurines each come with a satin-lined gift box and bookmark. |
